Please, please, please DO NOT THINK I AM TROLLING THE WII! I just want some constructive criticism and a good discussion. Okay to the point. I see some good material coming out such as Battalion Wars 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Brawl. But you know I'm just scepticle on what's gonna come out next... Is there any long term future for the Wii when it comes to 3rd party games?

Yes I believe there is. We shall see next year, when first party support will be hindered.

Since its selling well more third parties are going to join.

Also, I guess you changed your mind about selling your Wii and 2 games for 500 dollars

We will never know until we get there. Hopefully it has a future, for the sake of all those who beleive in the system.

BTW: Why would the 1st party support be hindered next year?

The Wii will have good games that range from first to thrid parties. There's no doubt.

What I want to know is will Nintendo stick with the motion controls for the next gen?

didnt you say ur selling ur yesterday on sw, but either way i think the Wii could become the ps2 of this gen an attractive price, good first party line-ups and more third party devs. joinin for its cheap gaming budget so the wii has a good chance with getting AAA games from 3rd party devs

It's good for me if you're asking me. Heck, my wishlist has more 3rd party games than 1st party. I'll probably add Okami if it's really coming.

3rd party games?

We have a decent amount of them. Okami now, Zack and Wiki, No More Heroes, Medal of Honor, Guitar Hero III, Dance Dance Rev, etc.

If by "future" you mean Q1 2008, then it's looking really good. I lack a crystal ball so I couldn't tell you anything further than that though.

I'd say so. In fact, the majority of titles I'm looking forward to at the moment are third party....

Fatal Frame 4
Monster Hunter 3
Both of the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles games
Zack & Wiki
NIGHTS

2008 looks good. 2009 who knows. Wii is not going any where though, they sell between 400,000 - 500,000 units a month. People who think Wii is a fad are very mistaken. It took microsoft almost 2 yrs for them to sell close 12 million. Nintendo's wii has sold 11 million during there 1st yr on the market.

This should be posted in the system wars topic.

Intellectual property doesn't just disappear when the creator goes under. Someone would have bought or retained the rights to the game.

In fact, it was the developer "ready at dawn" : http://www.readyatdawn.com/

Actually Clover Studios never died, they created a new studio called SEEDS with added new members. Also the rights to Okami are still there and can be picked up by another developer if they want to. I'm just hoping Ready At Dawn keep it like the original.
