use the DS headset with a DS.

Okay I know it would temporarily alienate non-DS Wii owners but what if you played online Wii games and if you turned on your DS with the headset, and went in download play menu to something that connected to the Wii for chat.

That way ppl i play BWii in Co-Op know WTF to do!

Not that it'd happen, or even work. I mean for those that DO have a DS and a headset. Lying it to the side wouldn't be all that bad.

it certainly wouldn't work in Madden, too many motions you'd throw the DS.

Just a thought.

Seriously, all Nintendo would have to do is have a firmware update allowing the use of certain headsets, whether they be distrubuted by Nintendo or whoever else.

I don't care when and how, but Nintendo truly does need to release or at least annouce the use of a headset, especially on games such as BWii.

Yet Nintendo has already "solved" that problem with the DS: Only allow voice chat with friends.

To honest, the title of this topic is almost a misnomer. The first thing people think of when ponder a way the Wii could get a mic would be by using the DS's. It's been (irrationally) suggested numerous times on this board and very unoriginal. It actually surprised me how uncreative this suggestion was.
