If you enjoyed Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games on GB and GBC, you can play those on DS, too. Doesn't get much more nostalgic than that. And you can pick up all of the great GBA games you missed (Zeldas, Marios, Metroids... you get the idea :)) As far as DS games go, the DS is an amazing system. A lot of it's games can't really be played on any other system (Trauma Center comes to mind, even though it's on the Wii, the stylus provides for a different experience). Just look through the top DS and GBA games. You won't regret getting a DS.

they didnt have castlevania dawn of sorrow so i'm ordering that online this afternoon, however when i got my dslite today i bought Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney though, seems like a great game so far :)manachild
Congrats on the new DS. That's definitely a great choice for a first game as long as you don't mind all the text, which I'm guessing by your post you don't.
