What's your experience with cheaper Wii remotes? I'm thinking of buying this:

It's for the new Zelda game but I'm not sure if it'll last. Feedback on it seems good. I know the Nintendo product is always better but has anyone tried any of these third-party ones?

I haven't had any experience with them, but like any third party controller I'd imagine it's not worth the savings. What about the Skyward Sword bundle? It's not much more expensive and includes an entire official motion plus wiimote.

I have a Doctor Who Wii Sonic Screwdriver remote.

It's a solid device. The buttons are a little stiff but it has a built-in, USB charged, rechargable battery. It works fine overall, not bad for £9.99

I have some unknown brand Wiimote + nunchuck.

The speaker is extremely loud and you can't adjust it, and the analog stick feels funny. Every generation I get atleast one third party controller, and I think the only one that's been decent is the one I got during the SNES era (it had turbo buttons, which were fun for some games :P ).

But yeah, experience was pretty bad for the Wii. But it was extremely cheap, so meh.

I'd rather get a used Nintendo made wiimote off Craigslist or ebay than deal with a cheap 3rd party one.

I would never buy a 3rd-party wii remote.

I'd still need to buy a nunchuck if I bought the bundle with the game. Anyway I went ahead and ordered a nunchuck with a Wiimote and motion plus for £13.99

When I was paying I noticed the seller's name is Chinese, so I'm guessing it'll be one of those cheap knockoff ones. I have however read and watched some videos regarding these controllers and they seem to be fine if you get a good one. Obviously they don't get tested as thoroughly as official ones.

I'll see how it goes and if it's a piece of crap I'll get a refund through PayPal.

I'd just recommand getting the wiimote + bundle then risking with a 3rd party wiimote. its not terribly expensive... quite cheap imo.
