Ok, Gamespot is beginning to piss me off. What has happened to ANY Wii coverage?

For Example: Soul Caliber: Legends was releases 16 days ago. 16 EFFING DAYS!! Do you think, maybe they should have...looked into reviewing it by now? (For the record, I'm hardly interested in this game, just using it as an example.)

And it's not just that. Tabula Rasa for the PC was only reviewed recently, after a good long while of "Wait...is this game out? Yeah, it's out. Wait, it's been like a week. Has Gamespot reviewed it? No, not yet." (This game seems a little more forgivable for the review time, seeing as it is a massive game.)

But either way, it seems clear to me that Gamespot is getting lazy. Too lazy. I'm starting to be more reliant upon IGN than Gamespot.

Discuss.

You can add Trauma Center: New Blood to the list, it was only reviewed yesterday after 15 days of being out. IGN on the other hand had a review for it almost immediatly after it came out.

i jsut use gamespot for the forum and sometimes on the spot, otherwise ign is my news and review home, gamespot takes sooo long for everything and the ign editorials are more suited to me anyway, and their review style

just Go to ign its so much better. Some times they get the review before it comes out. Gamespot sucks at reviewing anyways. I go to gametrailers and ign for my reviews:D:D

IGN probably gets advanced copies of finished games to review. Gaming companies probably stop sending GS advanced copies since they are so critical of every minute detail.

Stop whining. No one's asking you to come to GS. Go off to GameTrailers or IGN.

This is the busiest time of year for them, with a "billiondy" games being released in time for the holiday season. The loss of their editor in chief last week probably didn't help matters.

The thing is, I've been at GS for so much longer. I genuinely like the website better. It just recently that they have become as lazy as they are.

Im not whining or anything like that. I registered to GS because it seemed like a good place for reviews and the forums and blogs are much better. I dont have an ign account yet i realy dont want to pay but i do have a gametrailers. You really dont have to have an account for ign it gives you almost everything at the same time for nonmembers which is awesome. Gametrailers are for the awesome and latest vids and sometimes a lot more things. An GS for the blogs i guess:D:D:D

This may be true, except that reviews have been slow since long before Jeff left, and even in the middle of summer... (I pseronally don't care, just pointing that out though).

I don't think it's a big deal really. Sure, I want the professional's opinion on it, but the user's scores outweigh the pro's, and my opinion is based off whether or not the game appeals to me and what others think about it and what I think about it

it just depends on the hype of the game.. for example assassins creed, mass effect, mario galaxy, etc. They got review even before their release date

I agree. GS used to be good in game reviews, but now they're just so lazy.

Please GS do something about this!!! It makes me mad too sometimes.

this just proves that gamespot does not care about Nintendo IGN always post their reviews fast unless they can't find the game and when they do they review it even when they know it is a crappy game

I totally agree with you, and I would be over at IGN by now, if it didn't cost me any money to be a member of it.

GS used to have reviews the day of/after. Recently, it not takes 7-21 days for a review. Its all based on hype/franchises in Nintendo's case. No hype? No review.
