Amazon.com says hi. You should try it sometime. I'm sure Pikmin will be no more than $20 on amazon.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
You do realize some people can't buy on-line, because either they don't have an internet connection or don't have a credit card?lancea34
I know, really.
And besides, I've seen Pikmin for as low as 6 bucks. You'd have to be a real sucker to pay $20 plus S&H for it.
[QUOTE="lancea34"]You do realize some people can't buy on-line, because either they don't have an internet connection or don't have a credit card?AlexSays
So basically, this thread is directed towards those who don't have an internet connection.
Good job TC!
Or a credit card.:P
Pay your mom the $6 and tell her to get you it online. Even if people don't have a card, there will always be a parent or friend that does. Problem solved. This was directed to people in the last topic who kept saying GC games weren't available and that they wanted remakes.

So you made a thread directed to people in another thread...?
Instead of posting in THAT thread?
Wow, this just keeps getting better and better.
Pay your mom the $6 and tell her to get you it online.

So this thread is directed towards kids who don't have internet?
Then how are they reading this, almighty intelligent one?

You are being ridiculous. All older people have at least one card, whether it be a credit card or debit card. Unless your homeless. Most people know at least 50 people. Where did I even say this is directed towards non internet people? And you know what, even if kids that don't have the internet and that don't read this.....there is a thing called the library. It has free internet. They should be smart enough to use it.

What I am pointing out is that ALL Gamecube games are available. So there is no need for remakes. You are just feeding into Nintendo's money scheme. All GC games are available and yes, all of them work on your Wii! the_winner1234

It's directed kids THAT DON'T HAVE A CARD. Never did I say they don't have the internet. How old are you anyway? Once you're over 20, you'll understand that everyone has at least one Visa/Mastercard/American Express. It's almost required to survive in the real world. I'm 25 and I doubt you are older than that. Tell me in 10 years whether you still think there are older people with no debit/credit card.Pay your mom the $6 and tell her to get you it online.

It's diverting resources that could be used to making Pikmin 3 more awesome, like the other guy was saying. Pikmin 1 is just plain unnecessary.Take Chrono Trigger for example. Why the f are people excited about a Chrono Trigger remake for DS? Shouldn't we be demanding Chrono 3? But there will never be a Chrono 3, people are just happy seeing the first one again, even though it's been released twice already.
You cannot go into a walmart and buy most GC games.goblaaand that's why I was pointing out amazon.com. or ebay will work just as well.

Here the thing about remaking a game it allows new people to get into a game. The more people into a game the better the odds are to make a sequel. Most remakes can be done with a small team and normally like a C or D team. Because there is very little that need to be done. This allows new programmers to learn more because normally these are not the programmers you want working on you game to begin with. Look at NG: Black and how it was not made with Igagaki.
I have been enjoying many remakes myself of FF3 and FF4 because I never played them the first time around. I don't think without a remake I would have ever played them. This is the same reason I am looking forward to the Star Ocean remake.
So really no one loses when a game is remade. In fact a remake is normally a good sign that a sequel may be coming.
What I am pointing out is that ALL Gamecube games are available. So there is no need for remakes. You are just feeding into Nintendo's money scheme. All GC games are available and yes, all of them work on your Wii! the_winner1234
ALL NES, SNES, N63, Turbo Graphix 16, SMS, Sega Genesis, and Neo Geo games are also available, but people aren't whining that the VC is a waste...
Why the double standard?
They are just reformatting the games to make them available for those who still want to play them or for those who never had, just like VC games. The only difference is that these will be on a disc and have some updated controls. Where's the problem?
"But they could make new games instead!" Making a new game is a huge project. Porting these is not. I'm betting a team of 3-5 guys can port one of these ina pretty quick amount of time. If Ninty was such a small company that sticking 5 devs on a side project actually hurt their capability to push out new games, then I think we would REALLY be seeing a lack of games, remake, new, or otherwise.

No, it won't work as well. It doesn't work anywhere near as well. You can't walk into amazon, you need a credit card for amazon, you need to be over 18 for amazon.
All three of these severly cut your customer base.
That's the point of remaking these. TO GET THEM ON SHELVES for people who missed them!
The more people who get to experience pikmin 1&2 on the wii for the first time, the more pikmin fans there will be ready to buy up pikmin 3 (which IS in development and is NOT being delayed by these remakes.)

I find it silly if you can't just pay your mom some money and get her to buy it for you online. You don't need to be over 18, just pay your parents and ask them to get it shipped under their name. 1) Even if they don't have a credit card, most people have a debit card with the Visa logo on it that links to their checking account. This is almost mandatory in today's world. If you were older, you'd understand.
2) You'd be pretty dumb to not have internet access in today's world.
3) If a kid has somehow gotten themselves a Wii, at some point money will come to them as well. If you can afford a Wii, you can afford to give your parents $20. There are plenty of places this money can come from...Christmas gift...birthday gift...it's silly to assume that kids don't have money, especially if they own an expensive console.
