I noticed that sice both developers rushed games out for the wii, the controls were bad.  SSx blur and Red steel anyone?  They should realize that if they screw up controls for the wii, it get's nearly unplayable.

I'm not expecting awesome games at launch or in thta following 6 months, but the controls should be playable.  I tried doing the ubertrick in ssx blur 10 times and I couldn't do it.  And I am a master of the ssx games on the ps2 and cube...

What are you talking about? EA is doing a great job with the Wii. None of their Wii games have been "half-assed" like nearly every Ubisoft game out there. They're actually putting effort in making their games, unlike Ubisoft. The most effort Ubisoft has put into the Wii is Red Steel, and even that was a total failure.

As hard as it is to believe, I'd say EA has done the best third party job on the Wii so far. I've played both Godfather and Madden, and they control nicely, and are very fun games.

SSX Blur is a fantastic game.  Step learning curve but once you get past that, its a lot of fun.

Whoa, come down. All we were saying is that the game could use work in the controls department.

Uhh, your level 5 he's 24. You're the noob, noob. What games were those and the Wii is a bigger concept to get a grasp on. You are changing the way to play games so devs need a longer adjusting time.

perfect dark 0 and some other games, and i dont care what his level says, just means he sits on the computer longer then me. i think your right about the whole getting use to the new concept thing on the developers part. o well hope they get a feel for it soon.

EA has been doing an amazing job with the wii. They were smart and made a sperate dev studio just for wii games. This way they don't have to shoe-horn ports to fit on the wii, they can make new games ground up for the wii, even if they have similer titles.

Ubi could learn something from EA.

EA is kickin' ass on the Wii. Ubisoft, I agree, are pushing half-assed ports, which is problematic, but I guess it gives people who never played the original game a chance to experience it.

agreed. wtf are u talking about TP. SSX blur is a fantastic game and red steel isnt that bad. you just have to learn to get use to the controls and then the game becomes very fun. especailly the multiplayer.

I am all together disapointed with Ubisoft. The only games they have done right are Rabbids and Blur, the rest is crap.

As far as EA is concerned, it is definatly the better of the two.

I've only played Red Steel for a few minutes so I can't comment on that, and I've never played the "Ubiports" like Splinter Cell and Blazing Angels, but I can say that Rayman Raving Rabbids is a good game with good controls - and it's made by Ubisoft. As for EA, I think they have done a pretty good job on the Wii so far. Godfather, Madden and Tiger Woods have all gotten decent to good reviews, and SSX Blur is one of my favourite Wii games now. I don't know what the problem is with Blur's controls, for me they work almost perfectly.
