This is ridiculous; 3rd party support.

People complain about the lack of 3rd party support on the Wii, right? Well now we finally have a developer taking the time to try to produce a good game in The Conduit. High Voltage Software has directed all of their efforts into making games for the Wii, but for some reason there are people on these forums who choose to critcize them. The Conduit is being bashed on a few forums when the game isn't being released until sometime next year. Shouldn't people support High Voltage Software so maybe other developers take a second look at the Wii? It seems the same people complaining we don't have any 3rd party support are the same people downplaying The Conduit and the efforts of High Voltage Software.

Anyone else noticing this?

i really hope that high voltage stands tall on what they said on the tech demo cause that would mean the 3rd party devs would actually pay attention and see that the wii has potential. i mean we do have 3rd party support and alot of it but most of them like ubi-soft are throwing garbage at the pretty white box

Just checked the pics, looks kinda fun......a casual FPS for those of us who aren't hardcore. It's a full year away from release anyways. I don't know why people bother to criticize games before they are even released.....Morrissey1959

that depends on the story and diffeculty, which the story seems hardcore enough, bit of a ride along with mass effect, (the conduit was the item your trying to aquire for the whole game, which has somethign to do with some alien race... there are no spoilers there)

but yeh, halo would have been considered casual until people found out it was amazingly fun... then the sequels happened...

i agree TC, we should be wishing them the best and encourage them.

in saying that, i think high voltage made a big mistake showing it in its current state. they should have just shown the tech demo initally and left the conduit until later on....maybe august, when the game would be shaping up far nicer. at the mo they seem to be showing some very patchy work that doesent exactly inspire confidence as they are probably using alot of quick and dirty place holder art at the mo.

but yeah..we should be wishing them the best. hell if they can just get a solid shooter that looks pretty up and running, with a well developed online mode, then that would be a step up from the dross the wii has had to suffer on the FPS front so far (MP3 being the exception).
