it's probably been posted before, but what if they made a pokemon game for the wii, and it was in 3-D. It would kind of be like pokemon colloseum, but it would have 8 gyms, and random encounters and stuff like that.Andnot only would there be a new region, but you could go to past regions,like, Hoenn, and the place from fire-red and leaf-green.

Not gonna happen, Pokemon is a system seller for their handhelds. Give people a 3d Pokemon on a home console that is like the portable versions and then people wouldn't want the portable versions anymore. This would effect sales of Nintendo's later portables and would be more negative than posititive for their business.7CloudStrife7

I don't understand your logic. If they made a console Pokemon RPG, it would sell well, bhut that doesn't mean that the handheld games wouldn't. Alot of people bought the 3D Castlevania console games, but people still buy the side-scrollers as well.It may have the same formula, but the different perspective is enough to constitute a new game.

I think that it would be cool if they did that, but the pokemon actually fought rather than the turn-basedstuff on the handheld games.

I'm saying millions of people buy Nintendo handhelds BECAUSE pokemon is on it, in the form that it is. If you put a pokemon of the same formula and a better version of it on a console, people really don't have a reason to buy the Pokemon on the handheld, and thus Nintendo would sell less handhelds, and then less games because of it.

It's much easier for them to create games like Revolution which have the idea "Enjoy fully by buying and using the Pokemon handheld versions" because this way they win twice. Make the handheld versions on the console and they only win once.

that just means MILLIONS of people will buy consoles for pokemon. it can happen they experimented with the idea with the one for the gamecube (DX i think). its a good idea

Sure, but good games never hurt. Handheld game systems sell due to convenience moreso than games, and since Nintendo is already the recognized name, they will go to it before the PSP.

Also, I would assume that you make a better profit for Wii games that sell well over DS games that sell well.

Plus, Revolution was a colosseum thing. Completely different than an RPG, and they could make alot of additions to the formula with the memory of a console.

Also, the DS has Castlevania and multiple console series's to sell it. It really doesn't even need Pokemon. Besides, the name Nintendo sells itself.
