Friend codes do get annoying, but hey it makes it different. If it was just like XBL, then....I wouldn't like it, it'd be too similar to I've seen before. I want voice support, and that's really about it for now. You get used the friend codes.

It's not the FC's that the main issue. I can stand those. But the main problem is that you can't communicate during an online game which is just so god damn boring. There isn't enough customization either so all the 3rd parties makes some crappy online for the wii instead of doing it like ps3, 360, heck even ps2.

I don't think any online service will be great if it's free tbh. I wouldn't mind paying for an online service by nintendo if it offered great features and didn't inlcude fc's.
nintendo should use ur wii name (console),and u add each others console name and get an acception letter like msn , anyways fc not really a biggy, i can get fc here in gs. but fc is related to the problem, nintendo is scared that kids might be affected by some thrash talking high schooler which is why they put fc.
