WTF is with all the warning for replying to threads - got warnings for posting on a thread from July of this year - I mean most forums WANT you to do that to limit threads and use the search feature - wtf is the point of having a search feature if GS doesn't want that thread active? I wanted to look up info on games released a few months back like Overlord, got a violation notice for that...WTF? Should I start a new thread then and go against the common rule of most forums: to use the search button for existing threads?

And people pay money for this site? This forum = gestapo.

And pretty much every forum software has features to lock/delete threads past a certain age if Gamespot wants that - the threads aren't locked, so of course, they'll be posted in. WTF bothers to look up the date of a thread. I came here for info/discussion, not to be hassled.

And it links to the TOS...which I can't find anything against replying to threads past a certain age.

They don't even define what is too old...y'a know, y'a could just archive threads past a certain age like any other forum would.

I think its pretty safe to assume you will be getting modded for this too, and you just have to use your best judgement, if its a topic that has no real value to the Wii's current state or library then don't bump it. Basically if you find a topic about Super Mario Galaxy from 2007, don't bump it.

you should've asked in the "ask the mods", being it warnings from the mods or from the players. if you bring a thread back for a good reason, and it's not ridiculously old, then nobody should complain. but i've seen people pick threads back from '07 just to quote and reply to a person who probably doesnt check gamespot anymore. or to warn the "people from the past" that the speculated game was announced *cough*goldensunDSthreadsbacktolife*cough*

a good rule of thumb for replying to threads is that if its a month since anyone's posted, create a new thread instead
