Okay, I'm not going to spend this post explaining how PHENOMINAL this series is to me, or how INCREDIBLE the games are compared to any other console shooter and that if you have not played them you are a fool. :P *cough, but I am cough*

On to my point. The day TS4 was announced was subsequently the day my most hyped game of all time was born. Me, being a gameplay whore(I only own a Wii, by the way), found Timesplitters amazing due to its simple pick up and play qualities and tough single player modes. Wii+TS4=Bliss. Dave Doak, one of the men behind the series has said in various interviews that if a Wii version of the game were to be made it would be entirely focused on gameplay, with the obvious exclusion of pretty partical effects and polygons. Sounds like some great news to me!

If any company were to put some real effort into a risky Wii title, it wold be the guys behind Free Radical. They don't mess around when it comes to being consistant with thier fans. So, what do you guys think, awesome news or what?

"Free Radical's David Doak has described Wii development in general as "a good thing to do" and followed that up with "I think we want to put [TimeSplitters 4] on the Wii", in an interview with Game Informer."I'm sure it's possible to do a control scheme that works," Doak added when asked about his thoughts on developing a first-person shooter for Wii". LOVE Free Radical, LOVED TS2's multiplayer; the best (for me anyways) since Perfect Dark, even if it wasn't quite as incredible (I missed the complex...). But oh man would I love to see Free Radical do a mature shooter on the Wii. They're skills as FPS developers are undeniable; although I think I'd like something with a bit more of an effective story and writing/atmosphere. And I think I'd also like something different than the TS series.. but either way, I'd love to see them do something.

PS - TC, how great was Future Perfect? I'm debating picking it up, but I have TS2... is it worth it?

In my opinion it's on par with TS2. You mentioned that you wanted some story writing, well FP has a full story mode that is an actual story and is quite fun and funny. Just incredibly short, and not nearly as difficult as TS2's story. The multiplayer is just as good as TS2, if not better. It shares some of the old levels from the series, and the new ones are just as good. You need friends for this game to reach it's full potential though. Great game, I definitely recommend it.

It has all the same features on multi I would assume right? I.e. 10 simulants at a time, level editor, etc?
I also noticed the rating switched from T to M; were there any big changes that would've brought that around?

I never played the original TimeSplitters but I did play TimeSplitters 2 and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect and loved them bother. I'm really looking forward to TimeSplitters 4 no matter what system it comes to.

Yes, All of the modes are there. Along with the bots and level editor. The reason the game is M is most-likely because of lots of blood, a few launguage issues and sexual themes. Mainly all of it is in the single player.

Love TS, and I'd love to see TS4 on the Wii.

About TS3, I thought the story mode was vastly improved from TS2, however I didn't really get into the multiplayer quite as much, but it was still really awesome.

Timesplitters is also one of the best games i've played, probably one of my top 5 or maybe top 3. It's just incredible. It's nice to know other people love the game as much as i do (maybe even more. I doubt it though :P)

I've always been a fan of the Timesplitters series, so I was pretty happy to see it too. To be honest, I'm surprised something like this wasn't announced a long time ago. I think it would be perfect for the Wii.

.... God I love all those different match types they've had in the past

I have only played Future Perfect (which I thought was a pretty damn good game). But I'd buy TS4 if it came to the Wii.

To finally see a serious built from the ground up and exclusive for Wii FPS would be really nice see...........ok not so serious (Timesplitters doesn't take itself seriously). Honestly I've never played a TS game, but I know the premise, and I remember the original getting great reviews, so I'm up for this.

There is no competition in the FPS market on the Wii, so if Timesplitters 4 were to be on the Wii at all, the Wii owners hungry for an FPS would buy it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a million seller. (Red Steel was) This game doesn't even need to be exclusive.

They really have to confirm it's coming to the Wii .. Every time i read about it i am biting my claws. I'd just like to try a good FPS on the Wii, and TS is the perfect candidate.

I have Ts2 and 3 and have beaten both of them. While not the best shooters overall, they were certainly fun to play back in the day and in all honesty, the only shooters supported by gamecube worth playing at all.

Free Radical usually does a pretty great job when it comes to shooters. What I like is that they don't take themselves too seriously. Probably my only complaint is that Ts2 and 3 are good games in their own right, but they felt like they were just missing something.

I look at Halo by comparison and can draw obvious differences from them compared to Timesplitters. It's just a small lack of polish that is keeping their games from being one of the greats.

Now with Ts4 and the ability for them to put it on every console with Internet features, I hope that Wii don't get shafted and that they integrate some form of motion controls for the game.

Future Perfect for Gamecube is still one of my most played GC games even till this day.

TimeSplitters Wii would be awesome. Online CTF with rockets would be too legit to quit.

As long as I can still play suicide bomber with my friends I will be satisfied.

(suicide bomber- one player covered in remote mines + second player with the detonatoer in hand = pure joy. Maximum awesomness is reached when you have a room full of bots and slow motion deaths on. Nothing compares)

yep ts4 is in development most likely for wii and ps2 if not , wii exclusively,

because releasing it on 360 and ps3 gives those fans a reason to cut wii graphics down

I don't understand your post at all. Did you just make that up?

I doubt they would release this on ps2. Source?

I played TS2 and TS3 at my friend's house. They both had pretty good mutiplayer, but they weren't my kind of game.

But isn't Haze (PS3) the new TimeSplitters?
