Hllo to all,

I have a simple question really, i've seen afew games that were edited when they came to the US. They were old though, and for consoles like the snes, n64, and ps1. Id like to know if they keep doing this with ds games, and to know if it is worth importing games from japan or not.

It is worth it when you knwo the game your importing is good. Also, youneed to make sure if there is a lot of Japanese or not.

it doesnt matter if the game is good or not, im just wondering if they still change content for ds games like theyve done in some earlier fighting games (less blood, more 'appropriate for kids' clothing, deleted cutscenes i think, and etc). I know Japanese so it doesnt matter if theres japanese in it, why else would I be importing from there? 8P

Why else would you be importing from there? Because the game in question is not slated to be released here at all or in the near future that's why. People have been importing games like Ouendan2 and bleach2 and Jump ultimate Stars not because they want to get the unedited version but just because there were no plans to have an English language version. ---About your original 'simple' question asking if the English versions that are put out a few months after the Japanese issues are edited or not i'm not sure if there are cases where that happens...sort of don't think so but really not sure...actually though in bleach2 there is something someone says in the beginning of the story mode battle that if i'm hearing it right (it's in English in this case what the person says) I'd be surprised if they left that in when and if Bleach2 eventually gets released here.

^^^

Well seeing how Bleach DS is on it's way here, I'm pretty sure Bleach 2nd will come too.

Also, editing does happen. Like some games from the Shin Megami series, the upcoming SMT: Persona 3 has edits to it, like the whole Jesus holding a gun and such. And even things like teens shooting themselves in the head to summon personas pushes a should be T rating to M. Although the game overall isn't all that gory, it is dark.

actually I dont care thats it Japanese. The english voices are sh**. I believe that anybody that plays/watches and game that has been altered for a different language is playing a 'flase' game. Not literally, but with voices bad enough that make it too different to be the same. I know Japanese as well, so I have no problem in that area. My only concern is that the US continues to alter games so that they are less violent and stuff, but i think itd be difficult now that we use 3d models instead of sprites...
