It would be so much better if I didn't have to get up and change games everythime.Conjuration
Yeah when most Wii games do actually involvement movement lol. That is really lazy, I can't see anyone who would considering repurchasing a console if it had a disc changer
how lazy is that lol. is it really THAT much trouble to press a button to eject the disc and replace it with another 1? i doubt any1 would re-buy a console if they added just that.Benno2000
Ya, it does seem like a lazy thing to suggest, but I still wish it had it. I suppose if your someone who sits on their arse all day it would seem like a lazy thing to ask for. But if you're doing extreme physical labour 8 hours a day, a disc changer is just what the doctor ordered.
It would also stop my gf and our guests from mixing all the games up with the wrong cases, I find people just grab what they want to play off the shelf, then put my game in the open case. I'm always looking through half my collection whenever someone comes over. A changer would eliminate that hassle.

CRAP!!! How did that picture of me leak to the internet!
LOL @ the fat guy
A disc changer would take up too much space. It wouldn't leave room for processors and stuff to make performance and gfx better.
GIJesse77
Right now it would. But I'm sure that in a couple years they'll have the capablity to make those things smaller.
I totally get what you're saying, and even better than a disc changer, would be a decent sized flash drive or HDD, and some (NON VC) downloadable games. Bust-A-Move, Koronipia, Big Brain...
All games that take up very little space, and ones that would work as downloadable games with reasonable price tags instead of $50-60 CAD.
I guess Xbox Live Arcade has spoiled me :\
In addition to being too lazy to change a disc, you're also too lazy to insist that people respect your stuff. It would also stop my gf and our guests from mixing all the games up with the wrong cases, I find people just grab what they want to play off the shelf, then put my game in the open case.

A changer for the Wii doesn't sound too practical. How many discs should it hold, 5, 20, 50, 200? If it couldn't hold all of your discs you would have to reload it all the time. And you'd have one more thing for your irresposible friends to break.
Here's an idea, put the Wii beside where you sit and put the games beside it. Then, you don't have to get up. Problem solved! I can't belive no one else thought of that!vogelhutHere's an idea, splice a length of wire into your sensor bar cable, get extensions for your A/V cable, get an extension cord, and then have everyone trip over all those wires between your couch and TV set. I can't believe anyone else thought of that.
funny that you all mention this. my engineering class and i (consistiing of only 4 ppl including me) are making a dic changer.kudos to who started this topic but we are completed with it and we are petening it right now, our project was to make an invention that would solve an everyday problem for us, and that just happened to be scratched and lost discs, and organization in general. it is completely wireless. we tore apart a remote controll car in order to make it wireless, but we wrote a program that does all of the chganing and ejecting and whatnot. mesage me if you want pics. i do have the proof. we are not doing it because we r lazy. not at all no. but we did it incase someone had a broken leg, but still wanted to play guitar hero and paper mario and super smash bros in one day. im sure there is more than just that excuse, but this way you can see where we are coming from. plus people buy disc changers for CD's right? why then would people not buy this? think about it. would you want one? we did and we made it. your welcome everyone.

wouldnt that make the system 5x larger than it is now so that there is enough space for the disc changing mechanism to function properly without jamming? :|

I am totally on board with a disc changer.
I find that even if I am in the mood to play a different game, odds are I will play the game that is in the Wii rather than change it. On the one hand it's a good way to stick to a game until I beat it. On the other hand, I have a bunch of casual games, like Link's Crossbow Challenge and Williams Ultimate Pinball Collection that will never be played because I can't be bothered to put the discs in for a 15 or 20 minute gaming session.
I love being able to download VC games just so I have something quick that I can load up and play when I want something different.

When you're in the mood to wear clean underwear, do you just leave on what you're already wearing rather than change it? It takes a lot of effort to open that drawer.I find that even if I am in the mood to play a different game, odds are I will play the game that is in the Wii rather than change it.
