Anyone here feel that Devs are using the Wii's motion sensing abilities as an excuse to why they shoudn't even bother to try to make the other features, such as graphics, better?
I mean some games don't even have the controls right, and they feel that the motion sensing makes up for all other aspects of the game.

Well I know first part devs aren't. I mean look at paper mario it doesn't use too much motion sensing but has that whole 3D 2D thing.

I wish there were more games using analog. It's not a dead technology. I've been playing Paper Mario (GC), and trying to imagin this amazing game without analog, and basically it would suck. but it's a horse a piece. super monkey ball's analog-to-wii adaptation: sucks. excite trucks's analog-to-wii adaptation: kicks butt.

Yea... Analog will never be gone. But 3rd party Dev's are getting used to the controller, i mean its not been used before in gaming. so Dev's must get used to it, just wait, games will look better.

I feel the same way, not every game is meant to be motion or analog though. I think it would just be AWESOME if they just put in two control schemes, like one for motion, and the other for like the Classic Controller. Why not? It's not like it would take that much effort...

I think super monkey ball's analog-to-wii adaption is perfect although there are certainly some other cases where analog shouldn't be abandoned.

Developers are practicing with the controls with older games, and later, they will make new games.Â
