Personally I'm getting sick of going on the Wii Board and seeing nothing but fanboys relentlessly bashing games without cause and just plain being negative for the sake of being negative.

The Conduit seems to be getting the most bashing and honestly I can't understand why; it includes nearly everything someone looks for in a good multiplayer online FPS game. People say The Conduit lacks originality but really, how many of the FPS games on 360 or PS3 are really ground breaking? Plus The Conduit includes many gameplay functions only possible with the Wii remote as well as unique weapons that take advantage of the Wii remote.

Madden 2010 seems to be getting smashed based soley on it's art style. Grand Slam Tennis has the exact same art style and everyone is saying they like the clean bright look it has... double standard for Madden maybe? Why not look at the possitives; the graphics look clean and polished, the animations are fluid, and the gameplay looks like fun. If I'm going to complain about anything regarding this game it would be EA's complete lack of effort with the online thus far. The Wii can't produce photo realism like the 360 or PS3 so EA is just doing the best they can to make Madden look pretty in it's own way on Wii. Also people seem to be forgetting that Madden 07 was heavily praised for having incredible controls, if anything those controls and gameplay have gotten better with more logical button mapping and "call your shots".

Some other games that receive relentless bashing include Zelda Twilight Princess and Super Smash Bros Brawl which are among the best games Wii and Nintendo for that matter have to offer. I'm not saying people shouldn't express their opinion but it's just plain stupid to relentlessly bash.

From some peoples views those games do have problems, they may not be out but people can see things they don't like from trailers such as graphs or phyics. That doesn't mean they won't be good games but its something they don't like about the game which they have noticed, sometimes you can tell a game is gonna be crap merely by looking at it, especially if you have been playing games for ages. Wait Grand Slam Tennis Art style? not that I care for graphics but even I have to say Grand Slam Tennis Art looks awful from the pics I have seen but thats my opinion, as for Madden I don't care for it, its not big in my country but if people are seeing things they don't like from it then chances are they are gonna bash it.

conduit isnt going to be good my reason are

1) only 12 players online

2) single player seems uninteresting

3) wii speak only able to talk to people in a certain radius kill team work

4)graphic and textures look bad

5) sounds gun fire sounds weird

again this may be the best fps for the wii but i still think it going to suck i feel bad for the people that only own a wii and want a fps

Unreal Tournament 3 a great online game, I think there are only 12 players, it definitely no more than 16. Counter Strike one of the most fun online shooters I ever played, it had 12 players. Having 100 players doesn't make a game any more fun, it just makes it more chaotic. Single players seems as interesting as any other comparable shooter, you go from shooting gallery to shooting gallery, doing guess what? You can speak to everyone, the people CLOSEST to you have PRIORITY. Which makes much more sense than hearing someone on the other side of the map yapping about something that doesn't really effect you. Graphics are impressive, it is no Halo 3, but the Wii isn't exactly an Xbox 360 now is it? Also online videos rarely ever do a game justice, take Mario Galaxy which looked good in vids, but seeing it in person on the screen was so much better. The same applies to sound, but hey your entitled to your opinion even if it doesn't make sense.

Just checked some Conduit trailers right now and yeh looks good, not great but good enough to buy the graphics are fine my problem is with the physics. It will also be the first decent mulitplayer FPS for Wii...I really can't say whether that will be great until I actually play that for myself and see if there is any lag. My biggest concerns are will this be a short game? I have a strong feeling it will and if it is then the single player ain't gonna be worth much. Story is it any good? Can't say yet but if the game is short then the story won't be worth much either. How many weapons will it have? I can't say yet. Mulitplayer will it be as good as people hope? I can't say yet, but since Wii hasn't got a game thats offering this much as much as Conduit chances are it will have a good multiplayer. And yeh to be honest it will mostly be gamers who only have the Wii who will buy Conduit.

Thanx for info SMR-Venom +9 maps is good, and 18 weapons...it really depends on whether those weapons differ from each other but from what I have seen they do so as far as I am concerned the multiplayer on Conduit should be brilliant providing that there is no lag as a multiplayer game for Wii Conduit should be top when it comes out. Not sure about single player but well will see when it comes out.

really? I have a gaming PC and a 360 and I'm anxious to get my hands on The Conduit. :| It looks like an incredible FPS title for the Wii and I find it no more generic then HL2, Halo, Killzone and the Call of Duty games. TBH the game looks really impressive when you actually see it running and the story goes much deeper then most would even think. I think many will be pleasantly surprised with this one. :)

As I said MOSTLY...I don't think many people who have Crysis on PC and Killzone 2 on PS3 and Gears + Halo on X360 would be interested in this title, I own or have played all those games as well and yeh I will play Conduit but seriously...if people had the choice Crysis or Conduit what game do you think MOST people would pick? and even if they do play it will they like itafter playing Crysis or Halo? I very much doubt it, but whatever I'll judge it when it comes hope its as good as you want it to be mate.

Actually there was a thread on this before in System Wars and almost all FPS gamers who own the other consoles said they would rather have controller then play with the Wii remote, some guy even said they would rather play Crysis with a NES pad. I couldn't help but  at that comment. But yeh some people will be happy with this game and I am sure some people will be dissapointed as well. Just have to wait till it comes out...which is 2months away June 23rd. Thats a long time I wonder how many Conduit threads people are gonna make until it comes out?

Lol, I'm not being funny but nothing is gonna change until the game comes out and people see for themselves and even when they do you can be sure that there will probably still be a bunch of complainers.

Opinions differ based on experiences theres nothing anyone can do to change that, so if people are gonna be negative well not much you can do to stop them and one thread most certainly won't change that, the only thing that can is the game itself and that still ain't out yet...so we all have another 2months...no wait 1month nowof people bashing and defending Conduit...enjoy.

Concerning negativity towards The Conduit.... I can't help but think of the hype leading up to Brawl and the disappointment that followed. That's an amazing, high-quality game, yet there was still a fairly large group of people who felt that it didn't meet expectations.

It's good to have a check against that kind of hype. Brawl didn't really have many nay-sayers, at least among Nintendo fans, so the hype went mostly unchecked. For The Conduit, we can just ignore the ones who are being unreasonable and take heed to those who point things out that we might've overlooked or not noticed because of excitement.

About Madden.... The art style comes off as uncreative to me, and if they wanted to go a different visual route for the Wii, they could've done a much better job. But as far as the overall game goes, we don't know enough to make sweeping judgments. What are the new gameplay elements? How's the online this year? Have they improved motion controls? All of these issues are more important than a lack-luster look in a football game.

I hate it when Haziq and some others say this sentence. Mostly Haziq.................. People who buy the Wii aren't setting their standards low or know they are about to run into these limitations. They think the hardware will at least be able to tango with the other systems. This scenario applies to a lot of casuals.

But they should know. $250 (at minimum) is enough to spend to do at least a little research. If someone were to buy an iPod Touch and expect it to have all the features of an iPhone, he only has himself to blame for just not researching it well enough.

Edit: I'm talking in terms of graphics, not game quality, just so you know. People who bought the Wii near launch expecting a library of typical games didn't really have any obvious way to know that the Wii wouldn't have as much to offer there as might've been expected. But newer Wii owners should generally know what types of games to expect, though we don't really know what the future might hold.

Its not about setting low standards -In fact, I'd say I actually expect a higher standard from developers, being challenged by having this new machine that does not rely on power to make impressive titles.

People on this forum know how powerful it is compared to the other consoles - and as such - should have the common knowledge to know games that require more power will not translate well over to the Wii.

I mean it's not rocket science to anyone who browses this forum to know that with the Wii, the hardware is limited when compared to the others - but as I said before, its not about low standards.

[QUOTE="Hungry_Jello"]I hate it when Haziq and some others say this sentence. Mostly Haziq.................. People who buy the Wii aren't setting their standards low or know they are about to run into these limitations. They think the hardware will at least be able to tango with the other systems. This scenario applies to a lot of casuals.JordanElek

Well there are a couple of good looking games on the wii (MP3, Galaxy) I just think that developers underestimate the console's graphical power. You cannot say that MP3 doesn't look absolutely stunning without being insane.

Hes not saying there are no good looking Wii games. Just saying people should know what to expect from the console. Its not Nintendo's fault if your disappointed with your purchase without doing research. The internet is a gateway to information about companies and their products. Use it.

The Wii is in really good shape. Regardless of how much negativity it gets, there's enough of us that appreciate what Nintendo provides for us in the gaming industry. There's no denying that the Wii is making such a huge positive impact in the gaming industry that it definitely deserves to be remembered as one of the best video game consoles of all time.

Are you implying that I do not look into the game that I am buying? I look into games before a purchase EXTENSIVELY. If possible I play demos, I watch gameplay vids, I read reviews AND previews, I read player reviews, and I definitely compare scores between a variety of sources (Thank you Gamespot score sourcing). I research games plenty thank you very much.

To be honest it is partly Nintendo's fault it all depends on what fans we are talking about, there are plenty of fans out there that researched the Wii and knew about it ages before it came out and there were games promised for it that never happened. Some of these fans have played their fav titles on Wii for instance Zelda and felt let down and disappointed by how easy it was compared to previous Zelda titles, some fans are sick of the amount of shovelware on Wii compared to decent quality games that get released...seriously there are plenty of fans all with different reasons for not liking the console or the library of gamesand part of it is Nintendo's fault.

It is partly Nintendo's fault, but I put blame on Nintendo and the crap games from third party developers evenly. The third party developers say "Oh look, we made this ultra s***ty game, it looks like crap and plays like crap too, but we want you to sell it" and Nintendo goes "OK as long as it's on a disc it will be on Wal-Mart shelves!" And look where they are now.

I agree with you mate, don't get me wrong I live in EU and you think its bad in America Lol, Shovelware here INFESTS the shelves. You can't go into the shop without seeing shelves of Wii games with smiles and rainbows on the covers...seriously as soon as you walk in its like you are physically assaulted by the ****. Lol. The third party definitely could be doing better, what annoys me is that there are plenty of good ideas from previous consoles yet they don't make sequels to them on Wii. Instead they make up random games that are more gimmicks and mini-games and these games get made and shipped to EU faster then the actual real games like years faster. I need E3 quite desperately over here its a joke.

I would like to strangle some of those third party developers. The people that are really making the good games for the wii are Nintendo (referring to Nintendo regulars) and the super small, almost unnoticeable developers (2D Boy, if you haven't played World of Goo yet you should, it's like Doctor Seuss but freaking awesome). This is the reason I'm going to become a game designer, to hopefully help make some GOOD wii games. Well... chances are that Nintendo will be on the next console by the time I get to be a designer... or even 2 consoles ahead but I will slowly help rid the world of s*** games.

Yep World of Goo was brilliant, and I don't know about strangle third party devs...throw them of the highest building I can find prehaps but strangling them maybe just too kind Lol. What really does it for me is how fast they make this crap and ship it worldwide...it just amazes me at how fast they can mass produce and transport that **** to my country like I want it or something. Lol.

Oh it's probably not hard, they just need to slightly tweek games or make a bunch of crap minigames and throw them together or change the skins on the characters in an old game. Wal-la, one **** game ready to be hated.

I think the negativity you're seeing has a lot to do with the direction Nintendo is going. Trying to cater to everyone instead of 'gamers'. And mostly the people on these forums are gamers, therefore it makes sense why you read about people complaining about Wii. That being said as a sci-fi fan, I do think the Conduit looks really cool. Other than that I honestly don't respect Nintendo as a company because it doesn't listen to its audience.

I couldn't have put it better myself but surely you would think the raw force of nature would throw a storm or something to delay shipping, Lol but the **** still manages to find its way on shelves...it just can't be stopped. Seriously though E3 need some goods.

Agreed. E3 must give us gold or else I may have to spend the money to get a 360 and live. And I'd rather not. Not that I have anything against Microsoft it's just... I don't want to pay for live. Yes I am a greedy little b******, get over it.

I have a question though.
The people that don't like The Conduit(one of them is me).We constantly get the whole 'have you played it?'
Well,my question is..How many people here that actually like The Conduit have played..Just checking.
