That's cool with me. Bye. But seriously, why are you telling us this? Do you want to be convinced that not all of the Wii games have bad controls? Or are you just complaining for no apparent reason? Because frankly, I know a number of people, along with myself who don't care that you don't like the Wii's controls, and are leaving the Wii behind. That's fine. I don't care. Go ahead. Go play your X-Box 360 or PS3; I don't care what you do. So don't tell us this.
Do it, then someone that actually wants the console and can appreciate the games will have it, and we wont have to listen to you whine about how you cant aim the controller properly at the screen anymore. Seriously, try harder. There are so many good games on the Wii. In my wanted lists, I would have about the same amount between PS3 and Wii.A few weeks ago, I bought a Wii and a copy of Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess. Both are great games, but the Wii controls are terrible. In Metroid, aiming is difficult as hell. You lock onto something and it flies away, then you have to move the remote quickly, but if you go one inch beyond the tiny sensor bar, Samus starts flailing her arms around like an idiot and you can't move for about a minute for some reason. I was trying to fight Rundas, and every time I pulled back with the Nunchuk to rip off his armor, the remote would move in my other hand and Samus would start waving her arm cannon all over the place. This cost me many chances to actually hit my target and I died five times. If it were the first two games on the Gamecube, I'd have no problem. But I just can't stand these controls. In Zelda, it's the same way. I try to swing my sword and Link spins. One time I was standing near a cliff and my hand twitched. Link took a dive off the cliff and I died. Plus, waving around my arms gets tiring and there are hardly any good games on this console besides these two. I have Mad World, but I can live without it. I think I'm gonna trade this thing in and stick to my 360 and PS3. Sorry, but the Wii ain't for Mii.

I have yet to see any good EXCLUSIVE games other than the ones I already have. The Conduit looks good, but that's one game. Okay, there's Dead Space, but I'll just play that at my friend's house.
And to all you angry fanboys, I just can't stand the controls. I don't hate the console. I just thought it'd be easy, but for me, it's a chore.
Backwards? That's hilarious. Flailing my arms is not moving forward.man, if you really wanna go backwards in gaming, be my guest.

I had some problems like that in MP3. The calibration for the wiimote is off, because it shouldn't act up like that. Change the batteries and make sure they're at full power. Then disconnect and reconnect the wiimote, resyncing them. You may have to do this a few times. Finally, check the Wii settings and recalibrate things. Check the sensor bar settings and the wiimote sensitivity settings. When you've got it right, you should not encounter these problems. The only control problem you should face in MP3 is slow turning. But ya, before I resynced everything, I couldn't even control Samus she was flinging about so wildly. Anything could have screwed things up, like bumping the sensor bar or whatever, or just not properly setting it up in the first place. So I strongly urge you to try recalibrating before you make the decision to sell your wii, because the IR pointer is truly a joy (unlike the waggle) and works really well in MP3 -- when you get it to work. :PA few weeks ago, I bought a Wii and a copy of Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess. Could we just lock this thread? Its pointless because the only argument was that the TC could not appropriately control a game, and they felt the need to complain about it on the internet. So instead of creating flamebait (which kind of failed), they went and deleted their original post.
What's the point?
The TC experienced a bona fide problem with the game. I had the exact same experience. They're not just making it up to troll. Unfortunately, this was their first experience with games on the Wii so it understandably left a negative impression with them about the Wii's capabilities. The point is that the TC has a technical problem they need resolved. This is a tech support issue.Could we just lock this thread? I think the problem might be that you are flailing your arms. You're not supposed to do that. In zelda you don't need to make big flailing sword motion, just little wrist flicks and in metroid if you're flailing around then that is probably why samus is freaking out onscreen. Like other people said, maybe your sensor bar or remotes are screwed up somehow or you need to get used to the controls. I know when I first got the wii I had a heck of a time trying to use the keyboard on a few of the channels. It helps if you can rest the arm that your using for pointing, on the arm of a couch or something. At least it did for me. I am just about the most uncoordinated person ever and I had no major problems after getting accustomed to how much motion was needed (try wiisports to help with that).
Oh, and in metroid you can customize the controls a little too. Maybe that'll help.
