I never played the Playstation or Saturn games but according to IGN the series is starting over on the Wii.

Battle Arena Toshinden makes a return? This was the first 3D fighter I ever played (outside of Virtua Fighter in the arcades). It was fun for a first generation 3D fighter. It didn't really have anything special other than being 3D back then, so hopefully it gets some good updates.

I liked the hard edged design of the old Toshinden characters. Now they are all dainty anime style. It's just not the right direction. They should have just came out with a whole "new" game without the Toshinden name. Is that so insane? I think it's lame. A bane to all that came before.........ok I'm done.
