Looks good (technically) but a little too goofy really. Do they have to introduce themselves like they are in a travelling freak show?

Meh. I'm learning not to be too hyped for HVS's stuff after them changing the genre for The Grinder, or the fact that their built from the ground up FPS can't even surpass a two year old port of a 2007 game (even though I did enjoy that game, but I prefer that two year old port WAY more).
Holy crap that looks awesome! I am there HVS. You guys rock the.....(takes a look at "The Grinder" again)....okay you're F'n stupid. But The conduit is great and this looks awesome!
Ok, I think I am warming up to this a bit. Just as long as all the characters don't look like that robot guy, and all the arenas aren't like that underwater place. I think that if High-Voltage can put in a good Wi-Fi system, this game might sell. And as long as the box art isn't cheesy :D

Its unfortunately been already confirmed that there will be no online multiplayer whatsoever... :|
As for what we're seeing now- I must say it looks surprisingly interesting. It looks WAY better gameplay wise than anything we saw with Gladiator A.D. (A.D was looking like arancid punch-out ripoff).
That voice acting is disasterous though... :| And it looks like it has some notable control issues as well.
I might keep my eye on this one now though.
I wanted Gladiator AD, but was still willing to buy this imposter until I saw it had those "mini games." Mindless waggling and rotating the control stick in circles in between matches kills it for me. The graphical style is much worse than it was as well (Gladiator AD had impressive graphics, this game doesn't). Perhaps a bargain bin pickup, but it's not a full priced game.
You do know that those minigames can be skipped and that the Classic controller is supported, right?I wanted Gladiator AD, but was still willing to buy this imposter until I saw it had those "mini games." You do know that those minigames can be skipped and that the Classic controller is supported, right? Well, I'd have to buy the classic controller just for this game. No thanks. I'd concider purchasing motion plus if they gave us sword fighting. And yes, the mini games can be skipped, but then you don't get armor and health back (which is fine as long as the opponent doesn'r either).[QUOTE="Pices"][QUOTE="psychobrew"]You do know that those minigames can be skipped and that the Classic controller is supported, right? You don't need as much accuracy with the shield, and besides, you have to controll both the nunchuck and wiimote with Red Steel 2. A little creative thinking would have resolved any issue, but it's a low budget game so they probably didn't try too hard. As far as Monster Hunter is concerned, I'm not sure I'm getting it either since the battles last so long (45 minutes for a single battle?!!? Really??).

Some minor things I liked but overall it looks cheesy, repetitive, and boring. At this point it's a definite pass and another letdown checked to the list brought to me by HVS.
I am surprised to see that the purposefully campy Voice Acting and dialogue has gone over the heads of literally, every single person here. Odd. I think it's great! And the graphics and character medels are quite pleasent indeed :P

Your right, it's doesn't look too bad. The voice acting and characters are atrocious though.
GabuEx
Eh, I at least like the characters much more than when it was Gladiator AD, personally.
that's like saying "i prefer something bad to something awful" :PI'm actually surprised at how fluid this game looks/plays. I'm not interested in the slightest bit, but it doesn't look bad at all. HVS has some talent for sure, I think they just need to make different choices when it comes determining which genre to create a game for. This game is going to bomb....
FLUID? are you serious? the character animations are really, REALLY bad, reminds me of the first mortal kombat, where the characters would lag for a split second after each attackI'm actually surprised at how fluid this game looks/plays. [QUOTE="wiifan001"][QUOTE="garrett_duffman"]this doesn't look good. BrunoBRSyeah, it looks like a bad successor to Soul Calibur or something. don't even dare to compare this with the awesomeness of soulcalibur Sould Calibur Legends was a bad successor to Sould Calbur. This game should destroy it.

You're right. It was such a bad fighter it shouldn't even qualify.

soul calibur = fighting soul calibur legends = adventure I said sould calibur, not soul calibur legends. Tournament of Legends is a fighting game, not an adventure game. It applies: Tournament of Legends looks like a bad successor to Soul Calibur, as in a fighting game.wiifan001Sould Calibur Legends is just as much fighting as it is adventure.

Soul calibur legends killed the franchise. You can't say Soul Calibur 1, 2, 3, 4 are adventure games, you can with SC Legends. With Tournament of Legends not possessing adventure elements, it's clearly a fighting game...that I relate it to a dumbed down soul calibur adventureless fighting game.

maybe the problem lies in the "legends" part :P
