The answer is: Maybe.

TCUTK (The first Trauma Center) was considered a train wreck to me. It was boring, you spend time performing virtual surgey, and Nintendo should make it possible to do a surgery with multiple styluses, because for the most part, the challenge of the game is having to do 3 million things in 30 sec., and that's the real challenge. Then, when all the normal surgeries get really boring, the forst game made you defue a bomb, perform on an airplane, and add a bunch of bland twists to make the game mildly entertaining. But that's just me. I'm a fan of FPS and survival horror. Go RE4.

Oh ya, I found the game to be depressing. But the second one may be different.

Yes you want this game! I loved it!!!!

I was a big fan of the first one so I bought this one on release and never regreted it. Here is my review for it Continue »

Oh ya, why listen to the other guy anyway, two things:

1 he is a level one (everyone knows you never listen to level ones:P) I am a level 20 :D !

2 He thought it was depressing, come on that is no way to judge a game (and if that is how he judges games than he should never be aloud to rate a game EVER :P ). (sorry man I by no mean am trying to offend you, I just get touchy about my favorite games

So anyway............you should listen to me and buy the game man 8)!!!!

But get the first one first THEN get the second (and make sure you do because it is a bit better)

I would suggest getting the Wii version first(Second Opinion), and then grabbing this. Both are fantastic, but I enjoyed the Wii version of Trauma Center a bit more then the DS version(though, if the DS is all you can get, it's still good).

Is it really that fun? Somehow performing surgery doesn't seem that fun to me. What makes it fun?

Yes it is fun... It can get intense and that's what makes it such a good game. Then you become addicted to performing the surgery correctly. Plus it has a storyline so that's an extra bonus. The first one was really hard and luckily this one has easy normal and hard, which makes it better. It's also clever at using the ds's touch screen and you never have to use the buttons.

I personally recommend the game, for oh-so-many reasons. I'd get the first, then second, then New Blood on the Wii.

Anyway, what do you mean? Other "innovative" games we like, or simply other games? Either way, The World Ends With You. Buy it now, if you already haven't.

Without you having played the original, it's really hard to say. I just bought it the other day and I'm loving it -- but keep in mind that the original is one of my favorite DS titles. It's a hard game but the difficulty level settings is a nice touch. Good story, addictive gameplay, and a really arcade feeling are charactersitic of Trauma Center. But I know some people who aren't really a fan of this game, so if you can I'd definitely recommend renting it before you make a purchase.

i think you should get it. bought it yesterday, and having played the first one, this one seems easier. It even adds difficulty levels so you could see what difficulty is good for. you should play the first one to get an idea of what's goin on. imho...both games are great
