O.k., so the triforce of power gives it's holder vast physical/magical powers and "imortallity"

The triforce of wisdom gives magical powers and telepathy.

But what does the triforce of courage give? (i am aware of the fact that in TP the triforce prevented link from turning into a "lost soul" while in the twilight) But i have not seen any other benifits.

Well in Wind Waker it got him into Hyrule, so my guess is that it allows him to go wherever his courage will take him.

According to Wiki lore, the triforce of courage has unknown effects, though one seems to grant protection from evil magic. Read more here

I think the name says it all. Without the Triforce of Courage, who would be brave enough to stand up to the Triforce of Power?

I know i'm reviving a long dead topic, but I had to share my thoughts on its meaning - simple or complex - of the Triforce of Courage. I think it's as simple as in some of the items one finds in the Legend of Zelda: A bug-catching net, a bottle, etc... you know, every day items that can be granted such magical purposes in the LOZ games. So while reading something like the Triforce of Courage, at first I expected it to give moves, perhaps the sundering gates of heaven emerges and Zeus prepares a lightning bolt out the sword and slayeth of foes; however, well, maybe it is an internal meaning, think now, courage. When I go outside, I have yet to face the courage to dance in the streets, I lack the courage to walk on a gypsy travel band to Oregon, and I have yet to use my imagination toward the external world in any way; but Link, does he not? You can say the environment is suited for Link to live in this world of fantasy, but still evil lurks... That evil of the Triforce of Power can be linked to Ganon, and signs of power may be represented in other evildoers in the big picture of land lusters like Stalin and Hitler or in the school bullies, who know? You decide! (Ask the bully if he has played Legend of Zelda before silencing him) So what do I say is the Triforce of Courage, it's that existential situation everyone faces in the world view of no structure. Well, that structure is what you create! Yes, you! You can grow up to be a Quarterback or a Neuroscientist, but what have you created? Link can literally reaches every edge of the world, carving his destiny. In real life, do you have the courage to play the Ocarina in a village or catching bugs for that matter? Maybe that's what the courage is, finding what your heart says, and before your imagination is bound by someone else thinking that's silly and embarassing, you have already bypassed saying, "**** what they think", and done it. That's the Triforce of Courage. (Hopefully that was somewhat powerful, but I wanted to share that with someone. =D )

So Star Fox also has the triforce of courage....interesting. But on topic. It would be easy enough to say that it gave its holder courage, but even before having the triforce of courage Link was pretty courageous. Look at WW Link. He didn't get the Triforce till almost the end of the game. My personal guess is that it offers some kind of protection from the spells of the other two triforce pieces allowing is bearer to effectively fight them without fear of insta-death. In that way, there is balance between them. None of the powers of the triforce can destroy the others, but the people who wield them certainly can.

I'm not sure how powerful the triforce is in separate pieces. I had the impression that Zelda's magical powers came from her being in the royal family and Gannon's came from being a Gerudo King/sorcerer. Link usually gets his magic powers mid-game from a fairy. So I was thinking that each piece of the triforce went to whomever already represented their respective qualities. Or maybe the pieces of the triforce were things that had to be earned through shows of power, courage or wisdom(like WW). They do seem to be able to be taken or manipulated by force, though.
