Is there really a difference in Twilight Princess besides the controls when comparing the GC and Wii? I'm wondering which one to get. The GC is cheaper so I'm leading more towards that.

I prefer the GC version. Sword swinging is more precise, and being the pretentious person I am,the game has more glitches and sequence breaks to take advantage of.
I found the wii version to be better all around, the new controls better aiming and a few other things just made it feel a bit newer as the video the other user posted above illustrates. But from what i can tell everyone usually likes the first version of the game they played, those who didnt pick up the wii right away like the gamecube version and vice versa. But like most people have said its a matter of opinion and their both great, I own both versions of the game but if i had to recommend one over the other it would be the Wii version hands down.
No way it is better all around. It isn't traditional. Unless you want to tell me that link has always been right handed. Personally I like link the way he was and seeing how he used to be on Nintendo64, Nintendo, gamecube, even the game boy. But the Wii its good for Wii sports and such but the rest of the games are less looking for a way to make the game better and more about making the Wiimote pointing system do something. Sure there are a lot of good Wii games. Take Tales of Symphonia dawn of a new world its a good game and also it is on the Wii but it didn't really benefit much from being on the Wii. Just my oppinion.I found the wii version to be better all around, the new controls better aiming and a few other things just made it feel a bit newer as the video the other user posted above illustrates. Aside from the controls, the only differences between the two are the visual side of things. The Wii version is a flipped version of the GCN one (this was done so that Link holds his sword in his right hand). Also, the Wii version supports widescreen (the GCN version doesn't). Other than that, there are no differences. And contrary to the beliefs of some, the Wii version does not have improved graphics.
The Wii version is slightly more enjoyable, but I'd recommend the GC one just because it's cheaper and they're almost identical.
I agree with everything said here. If you use an HDTV TC, than I would recommend the Wii version because widescreen makes a difference in the presentation, considering how cinematic TP is.I found the wii version to be better all around, the new controls better aiming and a few other things just made it feel a bit newer as the video the other user posted above illustrates. I personally love the motion sword controls and fishing, and pointer control of the bow and arrow and boomerang. So I say the Wii version. Also of course anyone who has an HDTV or will soon get one, should go with the Wii version for the widescreen mode. I hate playing 4:3 games on my tv. Also I guess you get the added benenift of being able to go out to the Wii menu with the Wii version instead of turning the system off like you have to do with Gamecube games.
i played the wii version and was pretty cool i guess.. for a NPC game
however the gamecube one felt more like the oldschool zelda and less cumbersome to do the moves the knight teaches you. i also thought the graphics on the wii were a bit soft and the gamecube one had more color.
