Some ppl, including my friend, have mixed opinions about SS.
Which game do you think is best?
Personally i'm more inclined to say SS,it was just more well-made,with better pacing.

They are both unique and great in their own aspects.
Their both Great games with the Zelda Vibe, Their Bosses are fantastic, the dialog and story is fantastic and amazingly fits to the games style, both have their own Unique concept that makes them different from other Zelda's.
The major point of liking is personal Preference and the games themselves approach, simply put, Twilight Princess is the Zelda Formula put to good use with its shenanigan concept and Skyward Sword is a shenanigan departure from the usual Zelda Formula and being its own game.
I Love both, but i am currently fond of Skyward Sword of just how amazing it was pulled off, especially with it being recent. One of them being GROOSE
Doesn't everyone know this by now?
Everyone hates the latest gen Zelda, and adores the previous Zelda. It's happened almost consistently. Look at Wind Waker, on release there was nothing but negativity. When Twilight Princess was released, everyone thought it sucked and loved Wind Waker. The same thing is happening now, everyone hates Skyward Sword (I'm still not sure why) and adores Twilight Princess.
I love how a lot of people say this, but there's no actual proof to back it up. WW's negativity was almost completely pre-launch. Once it released, few people hated on it (except for the triforce fetch quest, but that's understandable). Anyway, I found them to be about even.Doesn't everyone know this by now?

WW was nitpicked to death at the time. Of course reviewers would constantly defend the game but OoT had a much better reputation than WW at the time. OoT was considered the perfect game while WW was just not as dark, mature, and realistic. Now of course according to the Zelda cycle WW is now in the same position that OoT was in back then, and that holds up. OoT support is greatly diminished compared to what it used to be during the GC games. OoT is now considered aged and sub standard. Nowadays more and more people are talking up WW and how the art is still beautiful today and the sailing is regarded as a great method of exploring. Again, these points are not new to today but now is the first time that they are almost universally agreed upon.
I loved TP, but I prefer Skyward Sword.
It's a shame that Nintendo took Fi too seriously. She did a great job being the emotionless AI hologram whose sole purpose was to help the hero, but I would have preferred a companion with human personalities, like Midna.
Neither is anything special, but SS is a much better game. The controls, presentation, and dungeons are infinitely superior. That's one thing I'll give SS, it has some fantastic dungeons!
I choose SS only because of its motion controls. I cannot go back to its old template after completely settled with the 1:1 controls. It's a love-hate concept, understandable. I feel that it pushes the series forward in revolutionary ways. If it weren't for that though, I would choose TP over SS. I love the dark ambiance in TP and there is more exploration to be had.
Twilight Princess. Not to say SS is bad, but alot of the inbetween dungeon tasks were not even disguised very well as padding. Twilight Princess felt much more natural, and Zant is a cooler villain. I still enjoyed SS alot though, but it wasn't quite up to par with other 3D games.
I'm going with Twilight Princess on this one. SS was a good experience, but I preferred the darker tone of TP along with the level design. SS was noticeably simple the first time through- I never really felt a good challenge.
The motion controls were great in my book. Took me some time to get used to them, but they felt pretty fluid after some time.
Gameplay? Skyward Sword. Dungeons and Bossess? Twilight Princess. I ultimately prefer the later. Some ppl, including my friend, have mixed opinions about SS.

I find Twilight Princess to be the better game. The graphics quality is more consistent, the overworld layout is better, and the world doesn't seem as uninhabited. I also like the dungeons better, even though Skyward Sword implements some cool new machanics. There are no recycled bosses or dungeon areas in Twilight Princess either. Skyward Sword is a good game, but I found myself really disliking portions of it.
The two "least good" Zelda 3-D games (because worst is just too strong of a word).
Each has very clear issues. I would say the main problem with TP were the wolf sections, while SS suffered from the lacking overworld, since the sky was ridiculously empty. The two of them have great dungeons overall, and probably the two best combat systems in the series. I would give the edge to TP, though, because it felt more epic and thrilling than SS.
TP.
Pacing and story are so much worse in SS. That and the disappointing controls that made it easier to waggle through the majority of the enemies.
I have to go with SS the controls really pleased me and I loved the temple design and new items added to the series.
Pacing and story are so much worse in SS. That and the disappointing controls that made it easier to waggle through the majority of the enemies.JLF1MarkIIYeah, that's one thing that annoyed me. Swinging your sword in a particular direction is always such a hassle and is tedious as all hell.
Skyward Sword is worse, but it's still a great game. I think the main problem with is how it recycles the dungeons, and the final dungeon looked like a mixture of all the dungeons before it and had no boss in it. I found revisiting places kind of boring, though they did a pretty good job with the desert part. Also, I'm not fond of the flying controls. I don't know... too many things that annoy me about it. Same with Wind Waker. Great games, but it will be a very, very long time before I even consider replaying it. Where as with games like Twilight Princess, MM and OoT, I never get bored of them - hell, I ever did everything there is to do in those games, several times over. I think it also has something to do with the fact that I prefer exploring land than sky and ocean. Sure, Skyward Sword had Hyrule, sort of, but it was cut apart into pieces, and there was not much down there to explore.
And honestly, while those motion controls work just fine, it really didn't make the game anymore fun. Traditional controls ftw.
Neither, both Aonuma's Zelda suck! TP has better graphic design and is a bit more open, while SS has controls better (other than the bombs and swimming).

Both?
He's directed more than two.....
as if you couldn't do that in TP? having enemies that block is better than nothing.TP.

Plus SS did a much better job at fleshing out it's side characters. All TP really had going for it was Midna
I dont like Skyward Sword. Almost everything about it rubs me the wrong way. It doesn't even really feel like a zelda game, it feels like "Motion Control Weapon Experiment Adventure". It seemed like making different motion control weapons and schemes was the first priority, where as creating a zelda game was second.
So I say TP. Looking back that game was better than I remember, even if the Wolf parts were awful.

Here is my experience with SS and its controls. is in the middle of a big fight or boss battle. Wiimote starts becoming unresponsive and sluggish. It becomes increasingly more difficult to swing with accuracy. stop to re calibrate the motion controls. Get hit a few times while doing this process. Repeat 5 minutes later. Now I have a lot of wireless connections in my house that could be why they are so horrid but I went to my friends house who has pretty spare wireless signals and it still needed to be re calibrated frequently. The thing that annoys me with Skyward Sword is if any other gaming franchise on the planet released a game where you had to re-calibrate the controls during combat as frequently as you do in this game. That game would destroyed in reviews for this, it would be called unfinished or sloppy at best. Zelda somehow manages to get a slide for this. .[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]as if you couldn't do that in TP? having enemies that block is better than nothing.[QUOTE="JLF1MarkII"]

Complaining that youre getting hit while recalibrating is more silly action on your part than anything to do with the game :P

My experience with the overall game was overly satisfying. Strange how some people struggle like you. Even Miyamoto's demonstration at E3 was inconsistant.

Seriously there must be something wrong with your controller because I had no problems with the gold one that came with the game. It just calibrated once upon booting up the game and thats it.
I like both. Only Zelda game that I didnt like was Majora's Mask. Sure the story was great and all but I hate being timed and rushed.
Skyward Sword had a great story explaining all the stuff that happenes in Ocarina. I didnt mind the art style.
Twilight Princess I liked the art style more but story wise not as good as Skyward.
Well the game was made to have MotionPlus and it had to feel like you were actually Link. Sure there were times when it was a bit off but me I felt it was a well excuted game. I mean you can breeze through TP without even trying whereas with SS you have to hit an enemy a certain way.I dont like Skyward Sword. Almost everything about it rubs me the wrong way. It doesn't even really feel like a zelda game, it feels like "Motion Control Weapon Experiment Adventure". SS for gameplay, level design, presentation, and just overall creativity. TP gets an edge with artistic design, atmosphere, and just overall some of the coolest moments in Zelda (sword fighting on Epona, the entire 2nd dungeon, dougle claw shot, etc.). I think SS gets the nod personally because it's going in a direction where I'd like to see the series continue to follow. TP is kind of like the last hoorah for the OoT formula Zelda game.
The problem with both of them is that TP introduced motion control, and SS increased its influence. To me, that smells bad news. Having to bother with lifting the wiimote is really a pain when you're relaxed.shmuklidooha
You should probably get a little more active if lifting a weightless remote and doing a slight movement is a pain:|
