The Wii is fairly limited in terms of design, the controls are very tacky and unresponsive and I think it's a hard console to design for, cause of the limitations.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried, please take the time to research before you dig yourself further.
As for Ubisoft they make good games and they make bad games, just like every other third party game on the Wii.

I'm entitled to my opinion... That's why I go multy console, have the best of all worlds.
Sorry... but Mario Galaxy, Metroid and Zelda haven't managed to convince me yet from the abundance of party games and arcade point and click games that are out on the Wii. EnigmaticBeauty
I'm sorry, but Gamespot is good for novice players like yourself.
There's many good articles that will let you familiarize yourself with all sorts of gaming hardware. Just follow the links at the top. Knowledge is power!
As for this scientific "ALOT" of games I don't know
Rayman, Prince of Persia, even Red Steel wasn't awful for a first shot game. Family friendly games like Open Season which are awful on other platforms are actually playable on the Wii. Games like Nitrobike look to further enhance the support for the Wii
Software needs to be built from the ground up on the Wii and the nice thing about the way they're made is that the last game's quality get carried over to the next title. Think of a snowball.
There's always going to be shovelware on the best selling hardware, it's just the way of the business.
So far the only Ubisoft i'll ever buy is Assassins Creed... The just put crap sequels out there that were "nice" in the first game then just do it over and over again... like EA but EA corssed the line decades ago...
Raibow Six, Rayman and other licensed junk. I just hope other devs don't the same thing Ubisoft and EA do...

Once i finally get my 360 this christmas ill be free of this damn wii curse. It's just like last gen, i got the gamecube first and then the xbox. Well this is never going to happen again.
Oh yeah... region lock = suck
I remember when ubisoft was touted as a great developer, and everyone was really excitied for the wii,
We are now at a point where 40% of the wiis games scores 4 or lower here on gamespot. And how many do you think were produced by ubisoft?? A LOT. They said they were going to stop releasing shovelware but they havent. Instead the rerelease DS PetZ ripoff games on the wii.
I wish theyd go release crap on someone elses console. I know I dont have to play em, but i feel bad for all the casual consumers who justs look a cover (Harry Potter 5 anyone) and then buy it to realise its a piece of turd and actually even looks like one.
Its embarrising when people in system wars show ubisoft gamesmetalisticpain
dude...just buy a game you like, play it, have fun, and go on living your life. nobody except a really dorky person cares...

--sighs & yawns-- I do find it intriguing how you can judge someone's "experience" by reading a forum posting which takes me about a minute to type and truthfully, I can't even be bothered commenting on that novice remark. Nintendo have always had a good start, Nintendo's biggest weakness is sustaining the lead, Nintendo loses it's market appeal 18 months down the line. Nintendo has marketed the Wii exceptionally well right from the beginning, from the code name "revolution" till their redesigned name Wii, from the childish compact look to the price of the console when compared to other systems and the promise of so called revolutionary controls that basically have you shaking, twisting and jabbing the controller at the screen.
For me personally, as a consumer and gamer, Nintendo still has an awful long way to go before they can prove themselves to me. I will continue supporting the Wii, the next game I'll be buying is Smash Brothers and after that, Mario Kart...I just pray they don't expect you to control it using the donut that they call their Steering wheel.
I like the downloadable service, it's the best one on the market right now and I hope more old games do come out, games that I either couldn't appreciate when I was younger, or games I simply never had the chance to play.
Anyhow, going out for dinner now and then to the movies.
I'm sorry, but Ubisoft are a very talented developer. Their games like Assasins Creed and Tom Clancy have been outstanding enjoyable experiences. Granted, they haven't quite taken a shine to the Wii, but that's like so many designers. The Wii is fairly limited in terms of design, the controls are very tacky and unresponsive and I think it's a hard console to design for, cause of the limitations. Plus, Ubisoft look towards the future with games like Assasins Creed and Rainbow...and let's face it, it's technically not possible to have those games on the Wii.
The Wii is great if you want to play your old retro games and party games like Mario. It really only seems like Nintendo have an idea of where they're going, albeit, they're going in the wrong direction.
EnigmaticBeauty
Well, I'm sorry, but you can't blame the number of games you bought on the system.
it's your fault you didn't bought warioware, re4, super paper mario, zack and wiki, trauma center: second opinion and new blood, medal of honor: heroes 2, Batalion Wars, MLB Power Pros, Madden 08, Mario Strikers: Charged, Umbrella Chronicles, and Ghost Squad (among others).
and BTW, before you go about defend ubisoft just for the sake of it take a look at their wii lineup; even if the wii is relatively underpowered, it's no defense for releasing heeps of crap like Petz and cosmic family. And by the way, as for the wii being underpowered, may I remind you that there were awesome, great-looking games for the gamecube (which i'm sure you haven't played because it's your too busy making a point out of being ignorant,) and say what you will, the wii does have more horsepower.
UBISOFT: " we're going to release Nintendo-like quality titles next year" -yea rightPopadophalis
Here is further Ubisoft crap coming up: http://wii.ign.com/articles/837/837092p1.html.
yeah! Either Ubisoft makes great games...or terrible games...
Just look at assassin's creed, then look at the 2 car games for the launch of the Wii (with the steering wheel)
And for the Wii launch there was 7 (correct me if im wrong) games by ubisoft. Red Steel was the best...and look at red steel's 2 player.
Tri-enforcer did you find that *really* strange how the developer was talking about how pleased he was with the graphics?
Yet after watching the video and seeing the screenshots BiA looks seriously ugly and by comparison MoH looks much better.

Hmm... First off, I'd like to say that I understand the concern that was the original message here. Ubisoft hasn't been the most successful developer on Wii in terms of critical acclaim (or popularity, for that matter). However, I do sense some effort from the developer in terms of trying to make a quality Wii game. With the exception of Capcom, though, I think every third-party developer is still looking for that one game that can stand out from the crowd on the Wii and become successful. The problem is that most developers don't know which direction to go in at the moment. It seems like they want to make a gameplay experience that only the Wii can provide and at the same time, there doesn't seem to be enough confidence to go all-out. That's a reason why the Wii has seen so many PS2 ports this year. The potential for a great game on Wii is just as great, if not better, than any system out there. However, there has to be a better mindset going into development.
Going back to Ubisoft now, I honestly do think they're trying for the most part. With Red Steel, there was an attempt to make a solid action game. Had it not been for some mistakes here and there, perhaps the game could have been a much bigger hit. The Rayman: Raving Rabbids series has become one the first stand-out third-party series for the Wii as well and a series that can actually say it can compete with one of Nintendo's in the same genre (Mario Party). Yeah, I also see the games like Petz and some lackluster titles on the list, but it's not really that much worse than any other developer that's working with the system not named Nintendo or Capcom.
The last thing I'd like to point out is that it took developers about the same time to find their place with the DS. As long as the Wii remains successful, I think third-party developers will continue to try. There's no way that a system as successful as the Wii can be ignored, and it's one that's still looking for a game or twothat can become a big-name franchise. I still want to say give it some time, but I will agree that third-party developers have to make some progress soon. Otherwise, the Wii will become dominated by Nintendo's games.

He knows the game has bad visuals. He has to 'sell' it. I hope no one supports this crap and for people who haven't picked up MOH Heroes by Januaray, to pick up MOH instead.
but it's not really that much worse than any other developer that's working with the system not named Nintendo or Capcom.
Madmangamer364
Yes, but Ubisoft has more than enough money and resources to make a good game, while other developers do not. Ubisoft has no excuses, they are just being lazy.
well there is red steel and driver paralel lines,,, and to the person claiming wii is underpowered your so wrong im turning purple lol .
the gamecube brought games like resident evil 4 and timesplitters future perfect oh and from russia with love, the legend of zelda tp and wind waker ssbm and at launch starwars rogue squadron 2 , and those games look amazing even today,
the wii has 2x the power if the developers will use that power. im sure they will a yr from now,, or even sooner, wiis only a yr old and has amazing looking gamesl ike supermario galaxy metroid prime 3 driver paralel lines call of duty 3re 4 is also on wii , looks a bit more polished .. and manhunt 2 try those games if you want gRAphics that are good ,, its not like wiis a nes,, i mean come on
at least they didnt use 16 bit graphics.
