UFC Coming to the Wii!

TQH announces plans to expand UFC to new platforms such as handhelds and the Nintendo Wii.

"Over time, we plan to build our UFC franchise by expanding international sales and by developing games on new platforms such as handhelds and Nintendo Wii," Farrell said.

Farrell did not specify when the series would debut on those new platforms, but his confirmation came after discussion of THQ's plans to annualize the franchise. The executive didn't get into details about next year's game, other than to say that it would feature new gameplay modes and features.

UFC is an awesome game, and I think if they utilize the Wii's motion controls well, it could turn into yet another multiplat that scores better for Nintendo:D (Ghostbuster, Tiger Woods 10 being recent ones)

My knee-jerk reaction to this thread title was "OMG!!! Who cares??" (and based on the poll results, I'd say that I'm not alone. ;))

But I want all you UFC fans to be happy, so I hope this game is good.

I'm kinda neutral on this one, I don't play wrestling games anymore.

But back in the day on the N64, I used to love the WCW and WWF games :D

Well, it still is a GROWING sport, so it may take some time. :P But seriously, I would love to tell you I'm excited about this myself, but the truth is that I'm not. Couldn't really care less for mixed martial arts in this manner myself, and I don't see it holding up well on the Wii, either. Sorry... :P

But I didn't like UFC on the 360 too much. I liked the demo but when your playing the real game it gets old really really fast. But with motion controls this could be pretty fun, not getting my hopes up though.

I just hope that the game is fun to play and not just some waggle fest, UFC is getting stronger in Mexico and i have to say that i've been watching some shows for some time ago, i'm interested, but i'm going to wait for more info.
