looks cool...but i need things cleared up... i heard this game is the first RE's redone and stuff... i havent played those but i do not want to buy this game if its just a collection of old games.... so my question is.... Is this a game buiilt from the ground up? or is it just a remake with wii gimmicks? also, i heard the game will be more linear as opposed to free, and in that trailer, it looked like the character was moving on his own and not controlled by the player, is this how the gameplay is? (or it could be that the guy playing sucks, he never backed up or tried to avoid hits)ZumaJones07

well, if the game is just gonna be point and shoot, i thought it should atleast be a little more like playing in the arcade

According to the video it appears that the handgun is the only gun with infinite ammo, so you really never run out of ammo. It's just that you won't be able to use the more powerful guns all the time.

As for the game itself, it looks to be a definite rental for me. It may average in the 70s-lower 80s in regards to overall ratings from gamerankings (I expect gamespot to give it around a 70).

Tut, tut... Your not supposed to judge a game before you play it, even if it is on rails. The boys at IGN said it was really fun, so there you go.

Rail shooters tend to have Shallow Gameplay (like all you do is shoot, reload and Look around, everything else is done for you), But they require Skill as you have to act quick and take down guys with as few shot's as you can (Here a hint, without there heads, they are powerless) and they can get frantic at times, like in the Jarassic Park Arcade game (ah, good times).

But unlike Arcade Rail shooters, RE:UC will have a Deep story about the downfall of Umbrella, that alone is reason for some people to get it.

m getting it because:

1. i like RE games

2. i LOVE Rail-shooters

It may Suffer from Low Score due it being Differnet, but i prase Capcom for taking a new route.

God damn. My biggest fear would be that the Wii would get filled with on-rail shooters. I'm hoping that this isn't going to become a trend. Sure they're lots of fun but I like a little substance with my shooters. =\

Also when was the RE series going to the dump me and most likely alot fo people were still having fun playing the RE games. Also dude have you been doing your reasearch the Dev for this game said it will at least last 20 hours or more so that 1 hour crock you came up with went right out the window. I hate how everyone jumps on RE4 like its the GOD of RE games. Yea it was a great game,but I still enjoy part 3 more.

Thats your opinion. To be honest I liked the orginal idea they had for RE4.

dude, i didn't say that the game was going to be 1 hour of gameplay, i said it would only be fun for that amount of time.  and the RE series was going in the dump before RE4 came out.  Maybe you are the one who needs to do some research.  Ever heard of a few RE games titled dead aim, outbreak, outbreak file #2? They all sucked.  RE4 reinvented the series and brought people back to loving the RE games again, so yes it is the GOD of RE games.
