Umm.. if your TV breaks because of HP bars in a game, your TV is a piece of crap. You said you've played TP. That game have HP bars.

cause the tech from the brand told me if you have still pixels it will cause the pixels to over heat and cause burn ins i don't no if you new's but all  HDTVs have the same problems like lets say your watching the new like abc well they have a still logo of abc .and that can casue burn in , in any  hd tv.

If HDTVs were really this crappy, I dont think this many people would want one. I bet I can have a still picture in my HDTV for days and not have a single pixel.

i doubt that it would be a problem...i've played SPM for whole afternoons and no burn in. The burn in prolly wouldn't happen unless it was on for dozens of hours continuously. And yeah, Zelda had a life bar too, and if you've played that and don't have little hearts burnt into the corner of your tv, SPM will be ok.

Is youre TV a plasma TV? Purchased 2000-2004 , or some such? In that case, they have known issues with burn in. Nothing you can do really except buy a newer Plasma, or a new LCD tv.

Burn ins are real, and it is a possibility. But only if you're playing for like a full day, with no breaks. I mean, if you're really worried about it, just take a 5 minute break every hour or so. But I doubt it would even be a problem unless you bought a low end hdtv.
I've been playing spm and haven't had any problems.

Burn-ins occur when the same image is held on the screen for an EXTREMELY long period of time; if you bought your TV recently you would have to have some part of the same image on your screen for upwards of eight hours to notice any extremely minor burn-in. Don't worry about burn-in when it comes to buying games; if you're very concerned about burn-in every three hours or so turn off your TV and give it a break so that it doesn't burn in.

Is it a plasma TV? Anyway, if it handled TP, it will handle SPM.

i don't know really, the lack of veriaty of levels and the fact that you have to do these stupid COUNLESS quests ruined it for me, IMO the gameplay was fun, the graphics were great, but the sound, replay value, and the lack of levels killed it for me.

You know its really not a burn in. Everyone thinks this because of the old tvs. Old tvs used those crappy cathode tubes, which is a problem to begin with, but HD screens don't use those tubes. If you want to get rid of the "burn-ins", play a highly colorful movie for about 3-5 hours to get rid of the "burn-ins".:D

Same here.  I liked it for the challenges, and the graphics were nice.  Voice Acting was horrible, Music was horrid.

They really need to change the whole series.  Make it to what it used to be.

As far as I know, only plasma TVs have burn in. (as for older TVs and monitors with burn in, I'd be surprised if one was still around.)

The wii does have burn-in prevention in it's display options though.

In the Wii options.

Just putting it out there...

And I would get SPM

wii features a burn in reduction feature. as long as u dont play for too long u'll be fine. even if u do get burn in it should go away after a while. finally if u use ur tv for over 100 hours the chance of burn in is greatly reduced.

With SPM ther eis no need to worrie about Burning/ there are frequent cut scens where every thing goes away and the cut secene plays and if you havnt noticed that the HP bar and score goes away when you dont get hit or get points so ther eis REALY no need for concern.

Yeah it´s a good game...

mmm...i beg to differ that game is way too short and when you beat the final boss, collect the world rings, and beat the 'final' boss, theres not much to do... (this game is a rental at best) you said your looking for a long game and Sonic isnt long in any way... try SPM

If you are really hardcore go back to the roots of gaming.  Buy some of the better VC games and play them alot.  It'll give you a real appreciation of how games have progressed.

Umm.. if your TV breaks because of HP bars in a game, your TV is a piece of crap. You said you've played TP. That game have HP bars.

Lol, that has to be the most awesome retort I've read all day, and you're right.

If an HP bar causes burn in then your TV is worth absolutely nothing. Most CRT TV's still take thousands of hours of a continuous still image to cause burn in. Plasma screen TV's and LCD screens are almost completely immune to burn in, although if you do leave one on with one single image for many many thousands of hours it is possible to get a slight burn in. Unless you plan on pausing the game and leaving it on for weeks at a time you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Don't sound very... hardcore... to me.
