Here's the second update on my LoZ painting that I promised. There are about three problems that I notice which will be fixed by the next time you guys see it. The hair, while it looks a little off, will not change. It should look better when his face and hat are painted, here's hoping.

Anyway, the background is oil, the character acrylic.

Thanks,

Jake

PS - if you don't wanna see me posting this painting, no one's forcing you to click it! I'm not trying to sell this or anything, I just love to see others' art and I know other people like to see video game art! :D

And sorry it's all square-ish, I hate doing the "HEIGHT= WIDTH=" thing to fit in the browser window . . . I did it sloppy.

Looks great. You're almost there now.

On a side note, I know what the 2nd and 4th video's are in your sig, but where are those other 2 from? That kid looks funny.

Oh man, you've never seen Croyt? You HAVE to see this kid. Search "croyt halo 2" on youtube and watch this fool go INSANE while playing halo. There are two of them.

The first is my beautiful girlfriend representing my even more beautiful school (psych).

By the way, do you know about Manga Revolution? It's a great art forum/site, better than devious art in my opinion cause it's more of a community. You could post your drawing there. Look for me as vince20100.

Your painting is great, where will you put it?

tip: don't paint each object after the other. try to paint all over the canvas. start with the black and dark colors (shadows..) and work your way to the lighter colors.

No thank you. I tried that when every art teacher ever told me to do it and all it does is waste time and paints. I'll put the framework down, lay down a base color for a sectioned-off area that I am working on, and detail it then. Thanks for the advice, but that process is definitely not for me.
