Tomorrow's VC update will include one game: Double Dragon for the NES.

Adobo FTW.

A great game, but can't believe their are only putting up one. Nintendo thank you, but I'm still disappointed. This'll be the first VC game I've bought in months.

Double Dragon was a great quarter-muncher in the arcades, but the NES version sux.
And I'm pretty sure we'll see more than 1 game here guys.
BTW, Double Dragon II on NES was a good game as I recall. That'd be the one I'd want.

I actually forgot which one I had on the NES that I liked so much. It had a vs mode (which was aweful) then it had the story mode (with two player). I remember some glitches like being able to climb up a wall so high then either fall and die or just glitch to the bottom and keep going up. Ahhh, the good ole days.

The vs mode thing reminds me of DD V. I think that was a purely one on one fighting game, I'm not sure if there was a adventure mode or not. But that was on SNES.
Maybe you had III or IV? I never played those much at all, especially IV.

Man how long ago was that? I might have been 6 (Born in 88)? I think my parents bought me from Nintendo cause I almost started playing as soon as I could walk.

I was born in '80. I'm guessing DD1 came to NES around '90. Man... getting old. lol
Guess I'll go listen to some Alice in Chains. They know how I feel. ;)

I don't know how I remember it, I was only 2 or 3 (not 6 lol), because I got the SNES soon after its release. I'm grooving to some Rick Astley. Guess I can play DD while I'm dancing on the floor at the same time.

The vs mode did suck because you could only choose from six characters and when you fought a computer they ALWAYS had twice as much life as you and were really cheap. The only one I could ever beat was Abobo. I was six when I first played it (1996).

Sure DD1 is a classic but the Master System version is a lot better.

Well, at least we will have one good game, rather than two bad ones.

Ok, I had a bad choice of words. What I meant to say was:
The NES version of DD1 is inferior to the arcade version, and therefore quite disappointing.

Now, that's hardly debateable.

oh my god....this brings back soooo many memories!!!!!!

I remember the women with the whips, green hair, and pink tights (I think they were pink) used to piss me off all the time!!!

or the big bulky guys with big ol' fat heads.

and the glitch mentioned....wasn't that ladder you mentioned in level one or two??? There was a boss and all you had to is go down the ladder and go back up and he totally disapeered.

The vs mode was terrible, but it was fun for back in the day.

haha I gotta buy this
