Hi,

Can anyone tell if there will be any complications with the difference in voltage. Can i just buy a 240v charger over here and use it.

Thanks

Just get an adapter. They sell them in electronic stores. If the manual says use 120 volts get the adapter. Devices that can use 240v and 120 have a switch saying on side 120 and on the other 240.

Reasons certain devices have that switch is because due to them having mutliple step down transformers in them these stepdown transformers can handle the different voltage requirements.

Most consumer electronics just have a simple cheap transformer on the plug. Yeah that is why there is a box on the plug in part that is the step down transformer and it is very cheap to put it on the end instead of say the middle of the cord leaving an ordinary plug you can easily fit in a power strip.
