The source engine in my opinion, is the most efficient gaming engine to date.
What I mean by that is simply this: you run Half-Life 2 Episode 2 in all it's glory, with a mediocre system. Sure the game is no Crysis, but technically the game is very good looking.
I think, that the genius that is Valve, should be able to port Half-Life2 and all other Valve games to the Wii with little or no problem.
Wiimote + Gordon Freeman = 2 outcomes.
Outcome #1. The greatest melee controller option available. Imagine sticking to the Combine with the crowbar guided by the Wiimote *drool*
Outcome #2. Gravity gun + Wiimote.... oh dear god.
Valve are actually really very good at getting the most out of a system so you might be surprise at what they could do on a Wii if they put their mind to it.Nomad0404
Indeed, Valve can push most any hardware to or beyond its limitations. Half-Life 2 on the Xbox is an excellent example of this.

i just exploded your head
um if they can do a counter strike on xbox 1 they sure as heck can do somthing on wii ,
wii is slightly stronger then an xbox 1 , timesplitters future perfect is the systme maxer for it,
Half Life 2 on the original XBOX look just as good as it did on the PC.
The Steam Engine will look awsome on Wii.
I'm guessing they are responsible for what people refer to as the "Orange Box" collection right?
I've never owned/played any of their work, but I'm up for it.
I've heard great things about all of their projects, so I'd be up for it if they were serious.
and before that Valve said that if they made Left 4 Dead for anyother console it will be for the Wii.When GameTrailers was at Valve studios in the spring, the Wii was discussed. It seemed Valve wasn't interested in doing a game on the Wii. It seemed they rather work with the PS3 and XBox 360.

They also said they wanted to work on something for the Wii. Gabe Newell says that he wants Valve to make a Wii game since he owns a Wii and thinks it is a great system.
did somebody say portal 2 for wii???? :P

a tf2 wii port would be cool too.:)
I dont think the source engine would look to great on the wii.MastaP110You're joking right? I've seen Half-life 2 running on a laptop that didn't even have a dedicated GPU (i.e. it had integrated graphics). Don't forget, the original Xbox ran a pretty decent version of Half-life 2. I'm sure that if they put their heart into it, they could at least match those results. The Call of Duty 4 engine is pretty efficient but it is still more hardware demanding then the Source engine and the COD 4 engine looked pretty damn sweet on the Wii with World at War.
Who wants a port? I'd rather see Valve create something unique for the Wii. Why not take advantage of source to create some new Nintendo exclusive FPS IP.The source engine in my opinion, is the most efficient gaming engine to date.

I really wonder if Valve has enough bandwidth to do this. If you think of it, Valve has basically only done Half-life. Portal and Left 4 dead were made externally developed, and Valve bought them and added polish. I don't see them bringing HL to the Wii. Portal would be good fit, but they would need to port over the source engine. I would suspected because they would want to create a new IP for the Wii, but I am not looking forward towards a Valve collection of Mini-games.
