This game never released in U.S. If you are intresting in Mario2 you can DL it by shopping channel.

Super Mario Bros 2 is really really difficulty. It is the best series.

I'd buy that just to try it on the VC, I had allstars but I never played lost levels. Was it good?

You are confused. Super Mario Bros 2 that is talking is the real SMB 2 released in Japan. The SMB2 we had was Doki Doki Panic edited and Lost Levels on All-Stars is infact this SMB2 that Japanese had. In Japan, our Super Mario Bros 2 had been called Super Mario USA.

Super Mario Bros 2 in Japan is like Super Mario Bros in gameplay and in graphics but the game was more difficult.

There's no need to translate it. I have the ROM of the original Japanese SMB2 with the Famicom graphics and it's in english like the original SMB. I can see the game being released on the VC as what it supposed to be without a problem.  If Blade Lode Runner released on the VC without being originally releasing on the Turbografx in North America before, Super Mario Bros 2 (Super Mario Lost Levels) can be released as well.

Lost levels is just super mario one with increased difficulty. Not very worthwhile in my view. Super Mario 2 for the US at least was an attempt at a new game. Sure it was a Japan game altered to have mario characters instead of the arab family but we would never have gotten a Mario game otherwise.
