Anyone know when a third party or Nintendo will release one of these and would you buy one?

There may be one later in the future but I do not see much incentives on getting one unless they output @ 720p. There was even a HDMI adapter for the cube.

some people (like me) use our computer screens for console gaming as well. i wouldn't care if it doesn't do 720p because i like my 25"lcd hdtv monitor in my room. i've already got a vga cable for my 360 here and i've been searching for a vga cable for my wii aswell.

the best i have is the componant cables i got off ebay, if it is for your monitor theres always vga adaptors. if you want it for hdmi then it's pretty useless because it won't broadcast that high of hd.

I'd rather play on my HDTV than on a computer monitor, but I do see how it would be beneficial to those without a HDTV. That HDMI adapter sounds cool though.

LCD VGA digital monitors have a better picture than a lot of HDTV's. MY 360 looks better on a 19inch lg monitor than a T.V at 720p

Just get the component cables and then get a VGA to component adapter, like this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2244742&CatId=280, then you can use your monitor to display the Wii instead of your TV.

I am actually planning to buy a monitor and a 360 soon so I'll be needing some VGA hook-up for the 360 AND the wii and what I found that would work for any console is this 60$ masterpeice: http://www.x2vga.com/

dang a post bumped from more than a month ago.

I never knew VGA looked sharper than Component at 480p, learned something interesting. But still, I do not see how much better 480p can get.
