since rockstar has announced manhunt 2 for the wii, do you think it is a possibility that vice city stories might come to the wii as sort of an experement for future GTA titles?? i do. speaking since the godfather, scarface: the world is yours and driver: parrllel lines are all slated to hit the wii sometome in 07 plz vote and comment!!!!!!
if you ask me the GTA series is boring and repetitive, and should be done away with. Now that my biased is out of the way, why waste the time and resources into making a stepping stool for the Wii. If they do make a GTA for the Wii(though I doubt it) they should make something brand new, new story, city, characters, controls, etc.

You don't understand how the franchise is run. GTA changed the gaming industry just as much as Mario, I don't see how they're not alike.
Anyhoo no they shouldn't, there's no way people are going to want a game years old on the Wii when they've already played it on other platforms.
Vice City Stories is another matter, if they release that a bit after they do on the PS2 then that would be worth it
I really liked all the GTA ..... except for San Andreas, which was so full of language and racist issues, I could not play it in my own home for fear my 6 yr old daughter would hear it. I would like to see one come to Wii that wasn't like San Andreas, and maybe more like Vice City.
I realize the fact that in changed the industry, in all honesty I love the ability you get with the free-roaming worlds. How many games have taken this concept and put it to use? Spiderman, Hulk, Crackdown, etc. I have played most of them, except San Andreas, and I just find them boring. Theres really no incentive to finish the game, they dont force you to follow the story. After a while the missions seem to blend together. But still, you can see how Mario has evolved over the years, it was pretty the first franchise, the first 3D platformer, and it continues to evolve onto the Wii. Besides various sequels which had a few new elements what is GTA doing? I find it sad that people continually buy it just because of the name, similar to the sports titles. I admit I've done the same thing with some of the Smackdown games but its getting too expensive to continually buying games that don't offer completley new experiences.
Theres no shot....Nintendo is a FAMILY type of company, with games like Mario, and Zelda, and Metroid, and all the spinoffs and etc...It would be the stupidest thing they ever did. They dont need it on any of their systems, especially the Wii
