would you want it?

I think it's time for a full voice-acting Zelda. Link already has a voice, he has a battlecry whenever he jumps and parrys and carries heavy pots and boulders. All they need to do is have that guy talk, and you have the voice of Link. And they can find a good American voice-actor to bring him home for the US audience. All they have to do is try.

i'd hate it if Link talked. Cos, you know Ninty'd use some one like, oh I dunno... some child star from a recent hit movie. and if it were teen link... well, it'd have to be shia lebouf, OBVIOUSLY... :S Dont do it nintendo. I mean it!
lolwut?
I dunno, I think they did a pretty good job of finding voice-actors for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, even if Samus doesn't have full voice-acting yet herself. If Retro can do that, I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't ruin Zelda by casting Zac Effron as Link. They know better than that. People would burn the game in huge bonfires lol.Hmm idk its tough...i half would like to se a voice but i fear they would make it someone terrible for the part
I've just had a horrid thought. What if Nintendo had whoever plays Ash on TV play Link? *barfs* Head_of_gamesThe original voice of Ash was pretty good, but still that is not a Link voice.
I remember thinking it was terrible when i hear dthey were adding voice acting to Final Fantasy games, but then when FFX actually came out and i heard it i realsied how much it added to the game. So i think it would only benifit Zelda in a similar fashion. And of course Link shouldnt talk.Yo-ganWhy.
I wouldn't mind it, it could probably add to the experience a bit. Give some life to the boring old villagers. Make Ganondorf sound threatening so maybe he can finally SEEM threatening.
I actually wouldn't mind it if Link were to talk a little, but he would need an EPIC voice, and if they can't get that, I don't want him to talk.
I think that the next Zelda definately need voice acting of some kind, in reality it should have been in tp. If they get link a good voice then i'm all for hi getting more of a character. I thought Lloyd's voice in ToS 2 was pretty cool, but yeah theres lots of options. I know Miyamoto wasn't for this but it sounds he's basically out of the picture so it not impossible.
no voice for link, it ruins the expericene of being link. they should at least start voicing the villagers and stuff. But no link.
[QUOTE="jasonharris48"]The same here, like in Fallout 3 for example your character never talks. Although I don't have any problem that no one on Zelda talks. _.-_ That was so about Fallout 3, Half Life 2, BioShock, Persona 3, Persona 4 because it feels like you were those characters, Adding VA to the the MC's would just ruin the experience,I would like voice acting in future Zelda titles as long Link still doesn't talk.

Wow, I am very surprised and impressed to see most people agreeing that Link shouldn't talk! I thought for sure everybody would be wanting him to speak. While I feel it could be done okay with the right voice acter and script, especially given it now seems Samus will be speaking finally, it would still be appropriate for him to not talk in the hopes of making you feel like you really are Link.
I would love voice acting as long as they don't give link a character! As soo as you give Link a Personality...its just going to suck! No one will like his personality... If he had a personality it would be worse if mario talked...No one would like them as characters.. Everyone would be like...Hahahah take that link! You just died! You see that bottomless Pit Mario...Jump into it! That's what you get for being so annoying with your personality! As a result no one will finish those games..everyone will enjoy just killing Link and Mario...Although that won't happen...link voice acting would be horrible...The only Nintendo character who doesnt talkwho can pull it off would be Samus... She talks with Metroid other M so it's all good!
Yes but Link should not talk, and im glad Samus is talking in Metroid other m, she should not be silint.jmizzal
Dude, while it is too early to tell for sure, you chould take a look at the Other M trailer again. Samus speaks twice! But it's glorious! Partof the initial trailer reaction was that "Samus speaks".
i'd hate it if Link talked. Cos, you know Ninty'd use some one like, oh I dunno... some child star from a recent hit movie. and if it were teen link... well, it'd have to be shia lebouf, OBVIOUSLY... :S Dont do it nintendo. I mean it!

People in Hyrule speak with British accents, everyone knows that.
I think VA in Zelda would be the absolute best thing to happen to the series.

Wrong. A fully orchestrated soundtrack would be the absolute best thing to happen to the series. Voice acting is a distant second.
I think the next Zelda will automatically be labeled as "stuck in the past" if it lacks voice acting. I still don't want Link to talk, but Ganon and Zelda must start talking.... no more gibberish noises either, Nintendo.
i don't know... first-party nintendo games usually have horrendous voice acting (charles martinet excluded). i mean, just listen to peach talking. i'd rather see everyone in the next zelda speaking animalese or bebebese than having zelda sounding like like hannah montana.
no. it's not like it would make a huge difference. i like to think how the voices are based on the "noises" characters make. uncecessary. besides, i hate when voice acting games have texts (which obviously would be on zelda) and i finish the text before the character finishes speaking, and then when i skip to the next paragraph, its voice disappear and it starts "reading out loud" the next paragraphBrunoBRSWell in most games, minus RPG's, there is typically an option to turn off subtitles
