Wait a Minute! (Platinum info)

On the new IGN article regarding pokemon platinum, they state that "This expansion requires the full version of Pokemon Diamond Version to Play"

What Do you think this means, that it opens up a new land for you to continue on after the elite four? Or What?

It could work like Golden Sun for the GBA. You can transer over your money and stuff from the first one once you beat it (well my friend said that, I never did it)

1) Start up game 1.
2) Click "Transfer", and the game says insert game 2.
3) Remove Game 1
4) Insert Game 2.

Yeah but what about the Origin form of Giratina? the screenshots so far show him getting captured ON spear pillar. So that wouldnt exactly work out.

Whoever started this thread... obviously overlooked the fact it was a simple mistake. What are you meant to do? Play Diamond/Pearl in the ds slot with another DS game plugged into the console? Or better yet, in the GBA slot? That would not make sense

Goldensun 1 and 2 had a system for it but there is too much data in pokemon to transfer with a simple code. But the GBA slot isnt that stange, its the only way how I can see them making an add-on. But I cant really see them do it so I agree its probably a mistake.
