I find if you use a walkthrough for a very openended game (I'm thinking zelda: TP) it takes much of the fun and feeling a accomplishment out of it... but then again how fun is it to be super frusterated and have no clue what to do next? So it raises the question... Do you use walkthroughs or not?

Only when completely stuck., to the point where I'm tearing my hair out. There is no point being frustrated just to say that I beat the game without a walkthrough.

Using it for Zelda is ok. Other games not so much.

I don't use walkthroughs that much. Only when I am at a part where I have tried everything (like a puzzle) and still don't get it. Then when I find out what to do I want to shoot myself when it so simple. Yah when I was a kid I would spend 100+ hours on a game and feel a lot more since of accompishment when I finish it but I just don't have that kinda time.

not really... Zelda games do give a bit of trouble now and then... especially when its in a water temple :P a lot of times when I'm super stuck, I'll accidentally do something right or I'll sleep on it and wake up to realize how dumb I was

The Zelda series was never intended to be played on your own.

It was made so that you'd have to get into contact with other people and talk about the games, the puzzles, and the dungeons.

So really when you talk to someone else or use a walkthrough you're playing the game the way it was intended to be played.

How is it meant to be played with walkthroughs. Its not like anyone has to read a walkthrough to beat it. The only time I used a walkthrough in TP was to collect all the bugs
