There are better ways to play metal gear if you own a PS3 or Vita Splinter Cell is apparently crap altogether Can't comment on Ghost Recon.

Ghost recon is a great turn based strategy game, but the story is pretty bad tbh, although that doesn't overshadow the great gameplay, which has quite a bit of depth. It also has a pretty good difficulty curve as well and a good leveling system. Of the 3 it's the only one I've played but gathering by poor reviews for splinter cell and the fact that the far superior metal gear solid HD collection is on pretty much everything I guess it's the one I'd advise to buy.

MGS3 is a good game, only problem is it really requires the CPP attachment for the camera (unless you actually like using face buttons) and the PS3/360 versions are a better value. But having MGS3 on the go is pretty darn cool.

Splitter Cell is terrible.

Ghost Recon is supposed to be great. The game looks very average, but has terrific gameplay. Plus you should be able to find a nice price on it by now.

Any interest in Tales of the Abyss? I love that game!
