Wanting to sell my ambassador 3ds, how much can i expect?

i have 8 retail games with it, maybe 10 eshop and VC games, the ambassador games. all in mint condition.

how much can i expect to get for it all?

i love the system but the battery life literally kills it. i can put it on the shelf with a full charge in standby mode, and it will die in 24 hours. that is ridicoulous for a "mobile" device. i travel a lot and its point less taking it on a plane. the thing will die before im half way to my destination.

i will use the money to buy a new polar white ds lite. i regret trading mine in for the 3ds. i remember my lite could be on stand by power for weeks.

Get for it where? I'd expect maybe a hundred and some change for the system on eBay. A gaming store will probably get you less than that on a trade-in. Being an Ambassador model doesn't really add much to the value nor does having downloaded games as they are forever stuck on your account on that 3DS. Game cards, it depends what the games are. Maybe $200 for everything but I wouldn't bet on it.

Why not try one of those third party battery upgrades if you love it?

There's absolutely no way you'll get $150 for the system itself. The system retails for $170 and many people now buying the system want the red one and others will go for the XL, so the older models are now less attractive. The fact its an ambassador system doesn't add value for the reasons mentioned by the other user. Depending on condition you can expect around $100. If you're selling the games that will add more value depending on what they are. You'd get more money selling the games seperately, but its more of a hassle and usually a bundle is more attractive for prospective buyers.

If you post what the games are and whether you're planning to sell as a bundle I can give you a better idea of a price.

$150...lol. They go for $120 with the ambassador games on craigslist. With no games you can probably get $100. Just keep it.

btw... why didnt you just buy the nyko bigger battery? it lasts extra long.

Depending on your games, I cold see a bundle going for $200. I can't see you getting anymore than $120 for the system by itself though.

No he could not easily get 150 for it, you are probably looking at the prices for new systems. And the ones for 200 are most likely the flame red systems bundled with Super Mario 3D Land. Use common sense, it retails for 170 so its definitely not going to go for 200.

you should keep it and get a battery pack for it. i know there are a few around that will double the battery life.

Oh, sorry if I confused there. I meant 150 would not be reasonable for the system itself. For the system and 8 games 150 would definitely be too low.

yes i will obviously include the games with the system as a bundle. dont want the hassle of selling them individually. i have KI: Uprising, Ocarina 3D, GR: Shadow Wars, MK 7, SML 3D, PES 2012, Pilotwings (so just 7 retail games afterall) 3ds eshop games: Pushmo, Sakura Samurai, Mutant Mudds, Mighty Switch Force, Colors 3d, 3d classics KI and Excitebike. a few GB VC games and the ambassador games.primitive013

That's a great selection of games there. I would think around $250 for the whole collection, give or take $25.

I think you should keep it, but I think $140-150 or so is OK, retail games not included. Make sure you prominently advertise that it has GBA games :P

Really can't see you getting more than $100.00 for it.

Check your local Kijiji ads to get a feel for the price in your area.

All the extra games aside, you're selling a used system likely with no warranty and people are probably not going to want to offer you a price that's close to a new system. At least around me, the new systems come with at least one game, sometimes two.

If all you're really looking for is a longer battery life; there are better alternatives than selling your 3DS and buying DS Lite for almost the same price as a new 3DS.

Have you looked into getting a Nyko 3DS Power Grip? It gives you nearly 3 times the normal battery life while still keeping the system fairly lite and portable. It's easy to set up (just drop the system in) and it'll only cost you 30 bucks.

But to stay on topic, I think you could get about $200 if you sell it as a bundle and mention all of the games that come with it.

Don't sell it. Get a portable charger instead.
