Was anyone else scared during RE4?

the only part thats freaked me out so far is when you encounter those headless guys with blades flailing from their necks...yeah, one of them snuck up behind me. other than that ive been fine.

To me Re4 wasnt scary at all... but im a person who played Enternal Darkness when I was like 11 years old.EndlessPunisher

Three parts scared me:

1.When a wolf jumped on me from behind in the garden maze.

2.When the guy in the oven all of a sudden came out.

3.Every time I see the 8-foot double-bladed chainsaw guy in the water level of The Mercenaries.

Other than that, nope.

first time i played i got backed up into a corner with no ammo and just my trusty knife fighting off 8 villagers

and whenever i hear that dreaded chainsaw

I couldn't play for over an hour at night cause once I'd get into the mood of the game i'd start dreading going into the next dark hall...

Especially when those regenerating sons of b*tches starting coming around! I was always low on ammo and they'd start freaking opening up doors on their own! I'd here a noise turn around and a door behind me swings open and all i've got is about 10 handgun bullets!

I only get scared when things pop out at me.

1. The very first dogs/wolves you encounter after the bridge, before the church.

2. When you get attacked from behind

I'm sure there's more for me, though.

Well, I played on a Projector, and Sorround Sound, and it wasn't scary. Just sometimes with the Regenerators, and the damn double chainsawi chicks. Other than that, there wasn't scary, just those tense "omg omg omg reload, I need ammo! What am I going to do! All I have is a knife, I need health and ammo!" kind of moments.

EDIT: BTW I played the GC version on the projector. I played the Wii version, and I found it even less scary, maybe because it's not in widescreen (wel the non-anamorphic one) and I've beaten the GC version like a million times, so yeah -_-.

i keep hearing these scary stories about the regenerator. i havent encountered one yet. maybe it will give me a good scare :D

I never get scared well only surprised in a way when enemies like chainsaws just comes from nowhere and kills ya or those **** wolves that just jumps on u when ur not prepared hehe...

I only played it at night though u can be more into the game =)

FUNNY/SCARY STORY:

The only time I got scared is when I was shooting those flying bugs at like 1:00 AM in the dark with nobody around. The bugkilled me, and it looked like Leon's face was melted off. Out of the corner of my eye I see something on my couch next to me. I turn my head, and I saw Leon with a "melted" face next to me on the couch. That freaked me out, (but I always see ghosts in my house) and I turned the game off immediatly. :P- true story

That first spikey regenerator with the card-key is kind of freaky, its just seemed really hard to shoot the parasite on its back and it really freaked me out when its arms extended and grabbed me.

Those guys with the machine guns are kind of annoying.

Well overall the game wasn't that scary in my oppinion. I'd say there were two parts that kinda had me scared.

1) The Regenerators - Their Spikes, breathing, and the music piece that went with them was rather intense. 'Had heart racing.

2) Night Time/Dark Parts - You could barely see a thing and the villagers we everywhere! Or when you're in the castle with the torch and the Knights.

well i played and beat the game about 5 times so it doesnt scare me at ALL now

but the very first time i played i was alittle scared ( like the first cut scene at that village house where you see that shadow then you have to go inside that house )

The regenerators... dang.

Haha this one time my bro was playing it and my neighbor was watching it... I started walking downstairs (where they were playing) and apparently they didn't know I was home, cause they totally freaked out. I think they were at the regenerator part too... good times, good times.

Not as much as I had hoped I would be. The only things that got to me were the regenerators but even those weren't too bad, I think they may have been over-hyped.

However, the 8 foot tall Dr. Salvadors in the waterworld level continue to put me on edge.

The Regenerators are certainly disturbing. But I didn't find them scary personally, however all of my friends havn't touched the game since they first came into contact with the Regenerators -_-

Only time I've almost pissed my pants was needing to go to the bathroom, but I was determined to get past an exciting sequence...

You arn't a panzy or whatever, it's a natural psycological reaction.

The characters are MEANT to scare you!

I was generally creeped out during the prison scene when the regenerator was creeping down the hallway, fading in and out of the lights. But I wasn't really outright scared.
