Before the FW update it was set to come out August 15th, now it's got a February release. Is Ninty cracking down on cheating devices this gen?

For the AR users that hack with honesty and only using it to make the game funner, never easier, never using it to win in online, I feel bad for them. For the AR users that cheat online and off, WOOO, go Nintendo!!!Mr_Doodle*crosses arms and nods*
The makers of AR already said the WiiAR wouldn't work online.-Lincoln-
really? When was this? Any proof?

They said it awhile back. And just look at their track record. The PS2 and GC Action Replays did not have codes for online games, why would the Wii be any different?

Yes, they really were. Just like 3 games for the GC, but tons for the PS2.
I remember Datel, the company behind the AR, being highly against making codes for online games. Peeps begged them for codes for, uum.. Phantasy Star for the GC, and they refused. They do not make codes that will make you infinite and etc. in online games.
I'm not sure how it works on the DS, can people use codes in MKDS? If so, maybe they're more leniant for handhelds, but for consoles, no, no codes for online games.

Just because *they* don't supply codes, doesn't mean others will. I've seen people online in some PS2 games using any cheat device out (CodeBreaker, GameShark, and ActionReplay to name 3), myself included.
(used it in Tony Hawks on Glitch-Servers to more easily access some locations to try and break something in the game)
Anyways, I like this move from Nintendo, the DS's online functionality is already broken because there's no control in the system regarding cheaters and players using illegal copies, nor do any of the game developers bother inplementeing cheat-detectors.
Actually AR users on Pokemon Diamond Pearl are being banned if they trade the pokemons they got using Action Replay.
The problem of course is in detecting the cheats and shutting them down without shutting down the game online service.
actually, nintendo didnt make action replay. it was made to cheat and do things u werent suppose to. nintendo wanted to stop them from doing it bcuz it could ruin the consoleWAIT Nintendo Stop Action Replay from being released? NOOOOO!!

I noticed the difference between SSBM Kirby than the SSBB Kirby is a slight Shading in the upper lip.

its because of the use of homebrew on the wii, the gamecube AR with a special memory card could be used for homebrew, nintendo doesnt want this, but the cut of the freeloader? i can see 2 points of this
A nintendo made the wii region locked and wants it to stick that way
B nintendo didnt intend for any incompatibility and the freeloader just dont work cos of a new code? or algerithm? in the update which just stops the freeloader from working
I'd bet my money it was on purpose, why?
AR and the likes are unlicensed products designed to exploit a system in a way that makes it impossible to officially license them, so Nintendo is just slapping them in the face by just enforcing the fact they never should have been able to run on the Wii in the first place. Microsoft does the same thing regarding modded 360 systems, this isn't new.
