We finally got a Wii!

Yesterday was my stepson's birthday and we got him a Wii. Thank god for children's birthdays, it was the perfect excuse to spend 250 without looking like I wanted it for myself! ;)

BTW, military exchanges are goldmines for finding the elusive console if you move fast. Our local Marine Corps exchange got 25 Wii's in on Friday afternoon and they were sold out by saturday evening.

Seriously. The wii is superbly fun for the first 2 months or so, then it seems like normal gaming, although not in a bad way.

i realy enjoyed excite truck. don't get it if your not the completionists type, though, otherwise you'll beat it in like 2 days and then not want to get perfect scores in everything.

if you like realy hard maze puzzle type games, then try mercury meltdown revolution. it's only 20 bucks, so it ain't as big a loss if you don't end up liking it.

and get resident evil 4 wii edition if you never played it on the gamecube or ps2. it's 30 bucks, and the wii controls work realy well with it.
