I know Nintendo has a lot on their plate already, but one of the things I hope to see in the future is an update to the mii channel to allow a lot more customization. I think the mii concept has a lot of potential, but is currently underutilized. And now that Nintendo has even created a whole other channel around miis "look at mii channel" I would think they'd get to giving more options to create miis. I'd like to have more clothing/shoe options, more accesories, etc. Anyone else think so?

I think It's a great idea, but I highly doubt Nintendo will do anything.

Yes, I think that they should do this. Maybe they will before playstation home comes out to compete with them?

Agreed. The miis have sooo much more potiential. Nintendo ruined my mii channel though. I sent it in to get it fixed and when I got it back I found out they had redownloaded all 71 of my miis on to my wii. Now I cant edit them because they were “made by someoneelse”

That's true in some cases, like how you can make Storm Troopers and Robocop, but what about for real people. They could at least do with more styles of pieces for faces, the eyes and noses in particular are stupid, only like 3 of the noses are worth it, same with the eyes, some of them are plain stupid, who has a nose that's two dots...

And clothes, just a plain colour is kind of boring, maybe just a simple level, like more colours, and choice of t-shirt, jumper, jacket, and different leg styles maybe, nothing overly complex just a bit more variety.

That's going against what Nintendo wants with the Mii's though.

They intended for them to be a way to make a simple representational avatar for user and others.

Nintendo didn't want anything complicated

What he explained doesn`t make it complicated, it just adds a tiny more variety to how you can customize your Mii. But on an un-related note I am alright with the Miis right now but when I saw my Mii Outfit A in Mario Kart I wanted added to the Mii channel. Just saying.

No it's not complicated but it's got the potential to be.

Then you also have to figure that all games that support Mii's before the update wouldn't be able to support Mii's after the update.

I wouldn't mind it just a bit more complex. I think Nintendo took the easy way out. They could have done more.

But Nintendo wanted a streamlined way to make an avatar quickly

They didn't want people to spend time deciding how to play dress up with their dolls.

True, but don't you think it have been more appealing to girls, who play with dolls, and dress them up, to have more customization? I know my sisters basically have the same Mii, the only thing seperating the two, are their heights.

Om, yay a perfect oppertunity like this only passes once :D! Ok well first of all the mii channel isn't about skill. Its about customization. No person should need "skill" to create a good looking mii. I agree with the topic poster that the mii channel needs an update. We need more then just 7 hair pieces and like 4 different eyes.

What are you talking about?

Of course Mii's take skill, that why Nintendo started a whole channel to encourage users to get better at it.

Now you don't NEED skill, that's why the system now is so perfect. A novice user can quickly make a quick Mii version of himself/herself with very little work. It doesn't take long to pick a head shape,, eyes, nose, mouth, and hair.

Now users who spend more time with the Mii's can get better at making them and start making things you'd never think were possible.

Also remember that if you upgrade the Mii's whatever games supported them wont be able to support them anymore.

Too bad Nintendo doesn't listen to you. It's a rumor but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.

i understand that nintendo wants to make miss accessible for the casual gamer, but I would think that after a certain period they need to realize "ok, the casual gamers must get it by now, lets kick it up a notch" I mean seriously. I,m glad for the success for the wii and nintendo's philosophy of appealing to casual gamers is a big part of it, but I would be happy if they let you start off on a bascic level and then when you feel ready to get potty trained, they let you click an icon and you can start using the big boy vesion

I wonder how much space in the flash memory you could free up if you were allowed to delete the Mii channel altogether...

I'm not sure I'd care either way if there were more customization options since I don't really make Miis for fun. If there is new stuff for Miis cool, but it's not going to stir a Mii making hobby for me.

Yes we do need an update, regardless of any skill there is no way for Mii's to have orange hair! :( Laigh if you must but its discrimination on nintendos part :P
