Like i said it does a little more with online options than Super Mario Strikers but unfortunately its not much.

Who here wants to vote lets show Nintendo we want leaderboards, we want headsets, and we want a real online play where we are playing real competitive matches.

Your thread was locked because the discussion belonged in the sticky, idiot. Locking is not a stupid rule. It is necessary.

It's quite simple, you disconnect, you automatically lose. This will suck if you get disconnected because of a bad internet connection but it would be necessay.

They already did that in Mario Kart DS and Strikers, it doesnt stop people from quitting.

I know, and what is worse is that they are trying to protect the children with all of this, but if a system has parental controls why not let the parent decide to turn off voice chat. So why can't nintendo just add all of what makes online great, but use the parental controls to block those who don't want to use the certain online features. I am 20 years old, I can't stand it that I feel like they are treating me like a child. Nintendo needs to get on the ball. This franchis is Nintendo's best and it feels they are holding it back.

All you people ever do is whine whine whine, simple if you are so upset about online, dont play online, or dont buy the game. The ability to play people around the world, friend list and random battles. How those options keep you from having competitive battles online is a mystery to me. Also how having things like voice chat or rankings make the match more competetive is also lost on me. All I want to be able to do is play people online, have some fun matches and so on. I have no real need to know who has 700 matches that day, and listen to a bunch of pointless smack talk from some random person.

There should definitley be headsets!

As for leaderboards, there should be ranked and non ranked matches. That way you can practice and when you think you're good enough, you go on and play ranked.

Well really, half the time on 360 nobody uses their headset anyway, unless you're talking a game that requires real teamwork.

Well the only experiene I have with playing voice enabled games is on a pc, and that is playing counter strike. I personally never used a microphone despite having one, but I did use the keyboard to chat with. In my experience, some people act stupid when they get on the microphone, so I simply hit the ignore button, problem solved. Chatting is super useful though, especially in communicating with others about someone that may be cheating, or simply asking about game mechanics etc.

Right now I play Mario Kart DS online and I'm growing tired of it, not because the game itself isn't good because it is, but because I have trouble finding quality matches. Most of the timeI eithersoundly beat the people I'm playing with, or they absolutely kill me. In both cases, the races aren't fun. Every now and then I run into someone that is just slightly better than me, or is equal in skill level and those are some very fun times. I'd love to be able to add them to my friends list for future matches, but guess what, I can't. Or lets say I want to take a bathroom break so I can ask them to hold on for a bit, but I can't.

I also play Metal gear Solid PO on the PSP but you can't communicate in the game and sometimes I want to ask people questions, or try to organize a more fair team match etc., but guess what I can't becaues you can't communicate.

Communications, whether by keyboard or voice enabled chat adds a lot to a game, so in short, your absolutely wrong in your assessment.

We complain because its someting they CAN do that will make an already good game even better and more enjoyable. So using your own arguement, if you don't like us complaining then dont read the message boards, simple as that.
