So my birthday is on the 19th and my mom tried calling everywhere all day yesterday and not one store in our area has any Wii's in stock. They all said they won't get any in until April. Except ToysRus, they said they would be getting a couple on Sunday but people will probably buy those so quick I wouldn't even be able to get one.
Anyway, she gave me her credit card (well, bank card) and told me if I can find one online I can order it... but none of the reliable places I know online have any in stock either! I WILL NOT ORDER FROM EBAY so please don't say that, but does anyone in Southern California (near Lake Elsinore/Temecula) know of any place that has them in stock? Or any good websites that have them in stock?
The only ones I can find online are these stupid like $500 bundles and I don't want those, I just want the system.
Apparently lots of people are having this problem. Its a real shame you cant get one for your birthday, but you just need to keep ringing stores, and if you really want one, camp out for it

Yeah, for me i wanted it for my brithday(december 15th), luckly i got it on dec. 19th! :P so if it can happen to me, it can happen to you too man! just keep trying, call stores often.

I didnt have to camp out to get my wii, my dad told that he saw a wii in the sunday morning catolog, and we drove to Target at 9 am and got a wii! No one was at Target either.
Be a man and make the effort to camp out for one. I camped for 13 hours in November and got mine. If you're not willing to go the extra mile and do something (you in the general sense), well then i don't give a darn.
Try www.outpost.com by calling them or just keep trying. If you live near cerritos i have been hearing they have had stacks of wiis at there local best buy. Good luck and trust me its worth the wait.
You are not alone. It's ok if you get it a week later. My birthday is on July 4th, and I still didn't get any presents for it. The Christmas is on 25th, and I still didn't get any presents. Why? Because m dad keeps returning them. But now, I don't give a care about my presents and I am fine.
Well it's Sunday morning and ToysRus is supposed to get them in today. Called them about 20 times this past week just to make sure they're still getting them (lol) it's 5am and we're leaving pretty soon, they open at 10. I hope no one else is there but I don't think anyone will be.... at least I hope not.
You should either camp a store or find a website where you can't preorder and find out when they will be getting there next shipment and check the site as often as you can (that's what I did).

Local Gamestop here had three Wiis and two PS3s sitting on the shelves. Unfortunately I caught it at the corner of my eye as I was leaving, they had it up really high and pushed back into the shelf so no kids could see it.
That's infortunate,but what's stopping her just saving the money for u when u can find one? I'm sure u will find one in a couple of weeks,you should pre-order one from toys r 'us to make sure u get the few that are coming.
God damn are you all still having trouble getting one? Well this is what happened to me. I had to do some errands and while i was out i stopped at Best Buy to check the wii demo thing. And guess what? They had about 10. Now this was at around 1 in the afternoon. So i bought one, and believe it or not it was an impulse buy. No waiting, no fighting, just walked in and huzzah there were some. So either im really lucky or your really unlucky
I think he got it. I'm just making an educated guess, but i think that the shipments would be getting larger, and the demand would be lessening. Also, i doubt that over 20 people would camp out now-a-days, 5 months after launch.
I GOT ONE!! In fact, the first one! WOO!! Sorry I didn't update this, I was playing it all day, LOL. It's very cool and my family is having so much fun with Wii Sports. We also got the wii play and the remote that comes with it. I have Gamefly and just built up my Wii rental list. I can't wait! I'm very happy so far and my mom loves the bowling, lol.
We got there at like 5:30am and there was NO ONE there. About 2 hours later a guy from toysrus came out and told us that he'll be starting the line at 9am and that we're guaranteed to get one (he said they got 30 in)
After that another lady came up and around an hour before they opened a huge swarm of people came. So there wasn't really anyone there until like the last minute, but I'm still glad I waited! When they opened there was a really big line as I was walking out the exit with my wii in hand. =D
You should camp out somewhere. I know a lot of stores restock on Sunday's, so you may want to try aking them then. Also, see if you can reserve one. You probably won't be able to, but it's worth a shot.
