I think we might. The only reason I say that is because it's a chance for MS to make money off of a game that is no longer making money. Since MS owns Rare now. I've never seen MS miss a chance to make money.

Nintendo didn't like the game, hence why Ubisoft published the game in the UK, and 2) Rare are with Microsoft and they made a new version Conker's Bad Fur Day for the Xbox, with new graphics and new multiplayer. Why would they release the original when the second one was better, even if the story hadn't changed?
No chance at all, it was re-released by rare and microsoft on the xbox conker game. if microsoft has published it from rare nintendo wont again. it not all bad news, if you have an xbox buy the xbox conker, its on there. it might one day get released via xbox live market and if your not into that buy an n64 and the orginal. it is a shame its not coming to the vc, it was the funniest games of its time and still is, i have the original and still play it.

Short answer is no. Long answer is that Rare owns the character, and Microsoft owns Rare. That's why Conker wasn't in Diddy Kong Racing DS. Same thing with Banjo and Kazooie.
Rare may have developed this game, but that was when nintendo owned 49% of the company. Nintendo still holds the publishing rights to the original game, something I believe a game developer cannot control.

But I don't think MS can block nintendo from re-releasing an original nintendo licensed title. They did release DK country on VC. Nintendo is only prevented from making new games featuring characters developed by Rare.
It's possible. I mean, if they wanted to, Rare probably could've withheld the Donkey Kong Country games. I mean, Donkey Kong is a Nintendo character so it couldn't go to Xbox or anything, but they could've chosen not to release it. Microsoft isn't going to lose any money for people downloading an old version of a game that was re-released for their console with better graphics (i.e. a complete update) and expanded multiplayer. Personally, I plan on picking it up for Xbox because it's only 5 bucks or so more thanit would be on the expensive Virtual Console. But to answer your question, I imagine it's possible.

As long as nintendo was the publisher or holds a license on the game, Rare cannot do squate. But if there is a trade mark character developed by rare, like Banjo Kazooie, nintendo would probably have to work out some license agreement with Rare. But since nintendo holds the right to publish rare games created when nintendo held a majority share of Rare, I assume they still have the right to publish said games.

I'd hope so cuz the N64 version was awesome! I hated the new xbox version. They changed the multiplayer and that ruined Conker for me on the xbox. I hope they make a newer version with better graphics with same story line and put the old multiplayer back on it.
