Okay, so at this point, everyone knows about Wario Land: Shake It (OH GOD :x ). What ever happened to the approach of 3D. I know that WarioWorld is not what we wanted, but why can't Wario be taken into the hands of Nintendo itself?! This is what they need.

Here is how Wario should be-

Story/Premise:

Okay, here is the big thing Wario needs, a good idea on how to present the game. Wario should take a more mature audience, and should be kind of like grand theft auto. It should start off showing Wario losing in one of the Mario spin-offs (preferably Mario Kart Wii since that is the most recent). He should be literally pissed and drive out of the raceway and wreck it while everyone is watching. He does not need to be in some far off land with non Mario characters like in Wario Land: Shake It. Mushroom Kingdom is a good place for the setting. Basically, he should meet Waluigi at some point. His missions should consist of making havoc in the mushroom kingdom, doing jobs for Bowser, and misc. stuff like that. The final boss should be mario. The end all be all fight!

Visuals:

16:9 Widescreen, 480p, solid 60 FPS, and smooth character models. The basics for a 1st party Nintendo game. Polish should be noticable, especially at the calibur that Nintendo dishes out today with brawl and SMG.

Audio:

Well, not that hard to explain. Full sorround sound. Expansion upon the wiimote sounds can be present and should be.

Controls:

I don't know, what could be harder than making Wario's punches and such 1:1.5 (that is the closest technology canbring us) on wiimote. PLEASE NO WAGGLE. They could do a lot of interesting wrestling esque moves that can be intricated through the wiimote. It is sad to see many games use the wiimote in a poor manner. He should have some Farts.

Gameplay:

Kinda obvious, an open world where you do jobs to basically try to destroy mushroom kingdom and make bank. Also, Wario should be able to drive his kart.

Name:

WarioWorld: Kingdom of Havoc.

This is how it should, and no this is not an overstatment. Wario is not a 2D platformer and not a collaboration of Micro games. He is a sidescroller on the handhelds, and a 3d platformer on the consoles. Wario should be taken more seriously, and this could set the grounds for one of the most beloved and hilarious antiheros of all time.

That idea actually sounds kinda cool.:) Although I like him in games like Wario Land. Still, good idea. Could be called something like WarioWorld: Kingdom of Havoc.

Haha, I love the sound of that idea.

Waluigi is in need of his own game and this would work perfectly. Wario should have stayed in WarioWare, and DK Country should have been the 2D platformer series that should have been resurrected instead of Wario Land imo.

You should tell this to Nintendo Power in their Pulse section. Then Nintendo might look over the magazine and spot that, causing Miyamoto and all them to possibly make it.

I for one am glad that this game is going to be 2D. I don't know what you have against it.

What I have against it is that it could be easily done on the DS, especially since warioworld is console, and wario land is handheld.

I cannot submit, but as long as you give me credit, I give you permission to use it if you have acess to it.

Also changed the name to WarioWorld: Kingdom of Havoc.

I don't see the need for 2D to be relegated to handhelds. Frankly, I'm sick of that mindset, and glad to see a 2D game being given a chance on a console again.

It is not that 2D needs to be on console, it is that if the DS is capable of doing it

Wario needs some definitve 3d games if not to just quiet the Wii haters. I would be absolutely ecsatic over a 3d Wario game that is on the same level of quality as SMG, this side scroller just doesnt.

The DS is not capable of this level of animation. If you watched the video and saw the screens you would know that, Wario Land: Shake It has some of the nicest 2D animation around, everything is incredibly smooth and detailed. Wario Land games have been awesome in 2D, 3D is not all it's cracked up to be.

Wario should be taken more seriously, and this could set the grounds for one of the most beloved and hilarious antiheros of all time.

Sorry, but I don't think Wario will ever be taken seriously especially after and in this time of Brawl. Like the ideas though, but I still think Wario Land: Shake It! looks good.

I agree that a 3d Wario game on the same caliber of SMG would be great. I just dont see it happening. This Mario Land: Shake It looks pretty amazing though. I was watching some videos of it on youtube. This is how I think the new Mega Man should have looked, but thats a different topic. Anyone kno if this is coming out on a disc or is it going to be a download?

I like the ideia. mushroom kingdom as an open world with cartoon violence, missions, ... I don't think Nintendo will do something with blood but Bully (from Rockstar) has no blood and is still fun.

Guns would be nice, rocket launchers, fart-smoke grenades.. Stealing cars and even car part's to upgrade Wario's car :). Mix it with some Wario typical treasure hunting in exotic locations..And ye let us punch mario as the last boss :P

But if you look back at Wario Land then people might take him more seriously. It's good that they're making an attempt to return back to Wario's golden days. Warioware is terrible in comparison to Wario Land IMO.

Word, that's pretty cool. Hopefully it's worth the price of a wii game. I dont want it to be short and feel dissapointed. I have faith though because the game does look amazing.

It sounds like a great idea, but I don't believe it'll happen anytime soon. Nintendo would make huge 3-D platforming games for franchises like Kirby or DK before Wario. However, maybe near the end of this generation it'd be nice to see happen.

I like the 'mad-about-losing-to-Mario-all-the-time' premise, and the 3D format for it, sounds like a good game. One thing though, Wario doesn't work for Bowser, they are two seperate nemesis of Mario and both seek different things. Of course the ironic thing is, if Wario and Bowser did get what they want - money and fame for Wario/Mushroom Kingdom and Peach for Bowser, they wouldn't know what to do then since that is their only real goals...and so, bored out of their minds, they will be in the mood for some racing again. I think part of the reason for this is that, Nintendo would have to give the person who came up with the game idea partial credit for the game, and therefore they may be put into a position where they would have to pay that person a percentage of what the game makes in sales. People could suggest the game, even though they don't accept suggestions, and it might be a darn good read or pretty damn boring, but either way you will not recieve credit in any way if they do decide upon a similar idea.

What I am saying is 3D is capable, and they don't have to do the graphics on the DS the way the Wii ones are. Dumbd down the graphics a little and you got your DS game.

Story/Premise:

Okay, here is the big thing Wario needs, a good idea on how to present the game. Wario should take a more mature audience, and should be kind of like grand theft auto.

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Wario should be taken more seriously, and this could set the grounds for one of the most beloved and hilarious antiheros of all time.

Sorry, but I don't think Wario will ever be taken seriously especially after and in this time of Brawl. Like the ideas though, but I still think Wario Land: Shake It! looks good.

Lol what I mean about that is that Wario should have more work be put into it, and be a 1st party title. Wario is NOT serious.

Wario has proven time and again he is best suited for 2D games. Wario Land Shake It looks phenomenal, and I think its a great fit for the Wii, there is quite a bit of competetion for 2D platformers on the DS, there is none whatsoever on the Wii. It just makes sense to keep it there, plus its absolutely rich animation.

Also, Wario doesn't belong in a GTA-esque game. The various Wario titles I've played actually lend themselves to a slower platforming style, with a myriad of puzzles. Ironically you have to THINK in most Wario Land games.

It would never happen, but...sounds kinda cool.

It would basically be Mario, but bad. It wouldn't have to be bloody (obviously), but cartoon violence would be fine in Nintendo's eyes. I would play a Wario platformer for sure.

by the way...what was the first game where Wario was introduced? I don't think it was Six Golden Coins was it??? Maybe...Soooo long ago.

Yep - Wario's first appearance was in Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins for the b&w Game Boy. Good times. His first standalone game (with him as a protagonist) was Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land.

IMO Wario Land is awesome in 2D, and there's no real reason to force him into 3D again.

there is this magical concept where characters can have good 3d and 2d games. Mario does it and Wario almost does.
