What are the best DS games to start off with?

Well, I wanted to ask people what the best 10 DS games would be to start off with.....I dont want to waste my money....so I really want you guys to help me by giving me the best 10 games to get, and which ones would be a real bang-for-my-buck....please help me, I want to geth the feel of the DS and what it's capable of.

The 10 DS games I would recommend would be:

1. Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow

2. Castlevania Portrait of Ruin(DoS is better in my opinion)

3. Mario Kart DS

4. Advance Wars Dual Strike

5. Mario and Luigi Partners in Time

6. Star Fox Command(If you want a game focused on touch controls)

7. Zelda Phantom Hourglass(Haven't played it, but heard it's really good)

8. Yoshi's Island DS(If you really liked the first one, get this one)

9. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl

10. Metroid Prime Hunters(never played it, but heard it has good online play)

These aren't in order of preference. My 3 favorites are Advance Wars, Mario Kart, and Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow.

In my opinion, the 10 best games to start off with would be (in no particular order);

Super Mario 64 DS (always a classic, and this remake is even better, with a lot more to do than the original)

Mario Kart DS(greatest racing series ever, and the wifi component rules)

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (unbelievable graphics and gameplay)

Clubhouse Games (perfect multi-player game)

Starfox Command (not quite the same as the originals, but still a great game)

Final Fantasy III (fantastic remake of a never-released-in-North-America game)

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (good, full RPG)

Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow (great addition to the series)

Animal Crossing (a fun little diversion, perfect game for playing few minutes here and there)

Konami Arcade Classics (nice collection of old-school games)

Another game to consider, and has been listed before, is Metroid Prime Hunters, great game for Wifi battle.
