To tell you the truth... there isn't actually a ton of good games on the DS. Maybe I just haven't been able to find 'em. Don't get me wrong - there's still some really good games. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, for example.
pokemons the reason i got the ds......just like the GBA.......and thats basically it. advance wars and elite beat agents are the other standouts. but other than that mario kart is ok and metroid wouldve been great if the online wasnt full of c**k sucking glitchers
yu gi oh! GX spirit caller. i wasn't a Yu gi oh fan until i picked this up ;)
other favorites are Phoenix wright and Children of mana.
even though phoenix wright is a "one time" game, its still a great and uplifting experience, totally worth the money if you like "point and click" type adventure with many plot-twists .
I think there's plenty of great games. some of my favourites are: Mario Kart, New Super Mario bros., Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, Final Fantasy III, Animal Crossing, Advance Wars, Jump Ultimate Stars, and Pokemon.
Some of my favorite games on the DS have been games that have taken me back to the "old school" feel of gaming. With going to college, working, having a g/f hard to devote any real game time to consoles. So some of the favorite games i've enjoyed have been games like the Castlevania games for the DS i liked DoS more then PoR both great games tho. I've gone with Final Fantasy games to revive my old school rpg void i've had and even imported games on the DS such as Jump Ultimate Stars which is an "okay" game if you play single player only games shines in multiplayer just like Super Smash Bros. Plenty of great games on the DS if they fit your taste of games thats what it all boils down to is what type of games you like. with a little research i'm sure you'd find plenty to go "oh that looks sweet".
I just got mine today with Elite Beat Agents and NSMB and have already spent around 2 hours playing NSMB and 3 hours playing Elite Beat Agents. Both great fun.
I am looking forward to picking up Pokemon Pearl tomorrow.
You should probably look into New Super Mario Bros., Metroid Prime: Hunters, Advance Wars, Elite Beat Agents and Mario Kart. Among many others...
