pretty bad. my l button stops working and occasionally my r button. but then they fix themselves. mines in bad shape. tempermental buttons and such=not fun
i too have onyx, and ive had for almost a year now and had no problems, but since day 1 there was a dead pixel and it doesnt really bother me that much, and about a month ago i got a switch n carry case for the ds so it wont get scratched, and now that i look at it, it has a mild scratch on the cover, damn.:?
Ive had the same DS since release. Its still excellent. Even after bashing the screen with Pokemon Ranger and other touch screen games its still in good condition. The screen does have some scratches that I hadn't even noticed until a few days ago :P you can only see them if you hold the DS on a angle towards the light.
Perfect condition and I've had it for about 7 months or so. I got a screen protector for it for those crazy stylus games where you can really scratch up the screen if you press on it or swipe it too hard (like in Meteos, Zelda, or Call of Duty 4)
My Phat DS is cursed with vertical scratches, thanks to Meteos. Luckily I invested in screen protectors for my DS Lite, so no matter what I do, I have perfect screen. My DS Lite also has discolored shoulder buttons, not because I'm greasy, but because it comes with the territory. Elastic waistbands and Dorito dust have not imbued my true mistrust. You go girl?

lol Meteos can scratch up your screen pretty bad...
Mine's in really nice condition. No scratches yet (I recently traded for a new pink one) and I hope it stays that way. The touch-screen could use some cleaning, though. Lots of stylus scratchy marks.
Great condition but if I don't play it for a day or so the R button gets sticky and locks up. If I tap it hard a couple times it unstickies and works just fine. It's probably just dirty inside. Had it since the beginning of last year.
DS Lite,great, just the L button stops working some times. Original model (use it more) is like new preformance wise. The top is scrached up but ive had it since 2005 so its seen afew "accidents"
I have a Black DS Phat and it's in good working condition like when i got it after it in October 2006. But one of the Hinge broke when i threw my bag onto the floor forgetting my DS is inside =/
